I need a favor. I just bought a normal slim PS3 but the connectors behind it seems some problems. Can you post a clear picture of your PS3 that power cable, HDMI cable and sound cable attached it from behind?

Just Slim or Super Slim? I'd say HOTD: Overkill + 4, GOW3 and Motorstorm: PR are much more essential purchases but that's just me :)

the hdmi cable handles both sound and video just connect it to the hdmi port of your ps3 to your tv/monitor hdmi

I don't have Tv. This is not the problem. If anyone could post a picture it would be a great help. Cables seem not attached properly. And HDMI cable is very loose. It came out easily. And the power cable is not attaching properly.
Come on just a picture and it will all become clear. Non-US region preferred if that makes any difference.

I'm not using the optical audio cable, but here is mine. From left to right, you're looking at ethernet, then HDMI, then optical audio (unused), then AV multi-port (unused), then power. Normal slim.

Thanks man, i will post mine when i get home tonight. My power cable doesn't look like this.

Your HDMI is in the wrong port, its needs to be in the one on the other side of the optical output

HDMI? Isn't that a composite cable or something?

Going from left to right facing the PS3 you have

Power...........AV Multi Out...........Optical Out...........HDMI...........LAN


In one of the updates earlier this year if my mind serves me right they removed functionality of AV Multi Out and the PS3 can now only be connected via HDMI

They removed the ability to watch Bluray movies in HD with component cables but you can still play games in HD with those cables.
