Amazingly solved DeMignon and fantastic giveaway OFG! Very, very creative and a fun brain teaser.
No matter how many times or different ways you explain it, I will never get this letters/word puzzles.

I guess my brain only works with decimal, binary and octal, no hexadecimal or anything that involves letters.

EDIT: Forgot to add: +1 for this nice puzzle.

Ahh... Now I'm somewhat seeing it.

The hints and such could have been worded better though. Saying "half" could mean any random order of columns, not necessarily columns 1-4 being one half and 5-8 being the other. Or I just might be too literal.

Something like "divide the data right down the center" and "label the columns 1-8" or something like that might have been a better hint.

I hear you, but that might be more along the lines of a walkthrough than solely a hint :)

Almost, yeah.

Even then, that'd still take quite a bit effort to see what the hell is happening with these two columns of divided data, haha..

With that said, still, awesome giveaway.

Yeah, well, I'm only getting it now, after it was explained. Couldn't figure it out either ;)

OldFatGuy: I was gone awhile, and came back, looked on my account page under gifts and saw it was redeemed and let out a "Whew" because I was worried I had made it tooo hard.
You did, but this forum has some a few select Einstein's apparently. :)
