Thank you all for watching GOG.com's yesterday presentation at CDP Days 2011 Spring Conference. More than 40,000 people were watching the live stream which totally exceeded our expectations. We know lots of you didn't have a chance to log in and watch it live, that's why we're posting the full video recap of the presentation, so you can watch The EnigmaticT and The French Monk on stage.

bogdan_vre: Offtopic: is there no weekend promo this week, or will it be just a bit later than usual?
well it was already confirmed by the EnigmaticT that we will get a promo this weekend

so I am assuming that it's just running late
Heh, not sure if the "I like it cheap and unprotected" slogan is a suitable way to win people's trust ... But obviously your arguments are, congratulations on signing one of the Big Five! :)

Galimatias: Now I regret posting my comment :<
I have to ask about your name, Galimatias - does it mean anything in particular? The reason I ask is that in Danish it means something like "madness" as in "that's madness" (det er galimatias" and you seem to be Polish, so I wonder if it means something else there, is from Danish (or another language with the same word), or coincidence :)

Loved the presentation yesterday, I was lucky enough to get in without trouble on my first try maybe 15 minutes before GOG's part of the presentation :D

In Polish it is a synonym to an English word "mess" (Danish word is rod, as wiki says)

Polish word for mess is bałagan, and galimatias is a fancy synonym.

I don't know why, but I love stuff like that.
Excellent, but is The Witcher 2 part of the conference anywhere on Youtube?

I'll let Galimatias speak for himself, but purely from the point of view of word meaning "galimatias" in Polish stands for disorder, commotion, noise. Probably it comes from French.

I'm going to go with Square Enix, T2 and LucasArts as the three possible publishers. I think EA and Microsoft are the publishers that love DRM the most, so they are the less probable. But I don't know which one of the three could be the first one. 25 games, huh! Maybe Square Enix? Only with Tomb Riders, Legacy of Kains and Hitman games you have around 15. I don't think T2 has that many PC games, at least relevant ones. Lucas Arts could be too, although they don't have that many adventure games so it would be a lot of Star Wars games of which I could not care less, :P

EDIT: Ah! I forgot T2 has Illusion Softworks too. That's Hidden & Dangerous 2 and Mafia, cool!

It means basically the same here in Sweden as in Denmark and that meaning is not far from the Polish. It's probably a french word as Krisk7 said since imho it doesn't sound german.
