Whats drm?Is it all that stupid stuff like securom you have to download to play games.

Digital Rights Management. Yup.
It's anything used to impose limitations on the use of digital content.
Yeah, starforce, securom, tages, are examples of DRM schemes.
Yes, and I can safely say that it fails at its job.
DRM stands for Digital Rights Management. It can come in the form of a simple CD check, or a fully fledged limited online activation, that has to be revalidated online every few days, for you to use the software. Basically, a restriction on how you can use the software. What GoG means by no DRM, is that there is no restrictions or limitations as to how you can use the games. They can be installed anywhere, without having to worry about having a disc in the tray, having an Internet connection, or anything of the like.
EDIT:
@Flashdrive
Indeed. But current gen DRM is more to stop casual piracy and second hand sales. Basically, it's just there because the publishers are greedy money grubbing bastards.

For what it's name is worth, the only thing this Management has managed to do is to piss off more consumers than ever before.

So... Digital Rage Enhancer? Sounds like some kind of conspiracy to create chaos or something. In that case, they're clearly succeeding on an online basis.

Well that'd be DRE my friend. Maybe Digital Rage Makers would be more appropriate ;)

True. But the way it is today, the rage is already there - they're just improving their methods.
Sheepdragon is pretty much spot on with the technical description. Translated into laymans terms: "DRM iz teh ghey! L0l!!1"
