wodmarach: I'm starting to think some people are using macros or something >.<

And personally I only go for these things when it's a game I want to try

wpegg: That's why I prefixed it DIE, and postfixed DIET, I'm open to suggestions to macrobusting...
One of the best I've used here for a flash one was the 4 groups AAAA-BBBB-CCCC-DDDD followed by the sort order say 3-2-4-1 so the actual code is CCCC-BBBB-DDDD-AAAA Worked pretty well (took a whole 20 seconds for the key to be claimed_
I agree with everybody, we're all good ninjas.
The exception was when I entered a contest (also from wpegg) for a game I knew a friend wanted. As we were close to his birthday I took the chance to win a gift.

I wasn't doubting anyone, indeed I wouldn't resent someone taking a good offer. I was just curious. In some ways I was hoping a more general feeder might speak up.

I'd honestly say those are mostly the lurkers (ie they never post not even to say thanks)

It is kinda hard to lurk a code for GOG game without notice :) Some people just say thanks over PM... I remember one guy doing just that to wpegg ;) For steam codes...that is another question....

Oh I've had ninja'd keys no thanks given it's not common but it happens regularly enough
Looking over my games' shelf, I don't recall buying or receiving Arcanum as a gift, so I must have grabbed it off one of these giveaways. I don't remember thanking anyone for it though, so here's a belated thank you to whoever gifted it.
I always say thanks if I win a giveaway, sometimes even when I don't. I think I once said thanks via PM, but I usually do that inside a topic. It's impolite not to do so. I mean, someone spent his money so I could get a game. Saying thank you is the least I can do.

Back when PM feature was a new addition to GOG forum, I actually did that. I forgot to whom, though :-) Anyway, yes it is possible that for whatever reasons some people may just say thanks over PM instead of with forum post.
Well a game must be at least of a genre I'd like for me to try my hand. I only try to get GOG codes, maybe a Steam one if it is of a game I REALLY would like to play (and that isn't on GOG). The truth is that there aren't too many games I'd pass here on GOG.
Anyway I'm a bad ninja, so I cause no harm :D
I don't even take them when I want them these days.

wpegg: I'm curious to know a simple point from those that have received games (or just participated), and I don't intend to judge or discriminate in future at all, so please be honest. I just wonder, do you redeem the games because they're there and free, or because they're games you want?
I got both Sacrifice and Sanitarium from you in giveaways so I figured I'd answer this.

As far as Sacrifice went, it was something which I wanted to try but wasn't 100% sure if it was my type of game. I ended up loving it, though. Completed it twice so far and it's rare for me to play a game more than once.

Sanitarium. I remember trying out a small part of it years ago, possibly on a friend's machine or maybe even a demo if there was one. I'd always wanted the full version of it, and it was actually on my wanted list for a long time.

I haven't tried for Silver. I'd feel awkward winning another game from you when I haven't even completed Sanitarium yet. I'm also fairly sure I've played it anyway, but on a console(?) I think.
I think Silver came out on the, Dreamcast was it? Or maybe the Saturn.

Yes, it was on SEGA Dreamcast. I never knew it was also released for PC until it was released on GOG.com. :)
