Well it IS true, however,
1. you can make bots to post in forums as well.
2. sometimes people (gifters) just want to make it more simple for themselves.
But I will try it with my further giveaways and see how that works. :)

Hey guys, sorry for the confusion, I totally forgot to check back on this thread.
To clarify: I do NOT have the game. I tried redeeming it, and it seemed like it worked, just like Barrorab described, but I went to "My games" it wasn't there and still isn't. Sorry to not say anything here, I just figured someone else got it first. If I did get it I would thank wpegg of course, as I usually thank all the people that giveaway games on steamgifts. Maybe I should have thanked him for giving away Sacrifice even though I did not get it, but I did not because I thought people might have thought I was "bootlicking" wpegg in hopes of getting a free game, since I rarely participate in the GOG forums.


Sorry for any confusion, and I really hope the game didn't go to waste. I don't know if it's possible, but if you suspect a bug might have occured and nobody redeemed the game it might be a good idea to talk with GOG support.

Also, I'm no bot and the "script" in my nickname actually refers to movie scripts and the like.

Sorry that I brought all this back in somewhat edgy manner, but my post in "Community Gifting thread" was mainly a joke (although a somewhat "dark" one).

I never check anything other than if a code was redeemed, as sometimes I send a code that never gets redeemed.

I used to wait 6 months before putting a code back out, but now I wait a quarter. All of the codes, in this area, show as redeemed. Wpegg would know more as this is his thread.

Sure. I only asked my question because wpegg suggested possible usage of bots to farm codes. So I thought checking names of the redeemers might be useful to find out whether that was true or not.

Sorry guys, was busy beating that Rafnir level on Majesty2 (took me 4 hours!). Anyway:

ScriptBr has been in contact, he's clearly not a bot and just a member of the community, in which case my hats off to him for winning. I've attached a picture of my account screen, though I am sure GOG can easily sort it out. It's a simple matter of a GOG fail.

My apologies to scriptbr for assuming a bot. It's just your name kinda hinted at it. Anyway, no harm done hopefully. If you contact GOG support they'll restore your copy of sacrifice for you (Which is so awesome you wouldn't believe it).
P.S - I'm not going to let this little unfortunate confusion kill of this thread.
