Perhaps GOG doesn't recheck the code after you've entered it and confirmed it (ie: when you click "Redeem this gift"). That's a big problem for GOG if true.

Happens all the time. Extra codes, double extractions... when the planets align, anything is possible (read: when you rush the GOG servers en masse, funny things happen).

That's GOG's business. If you're so minded you can contact support with a request to investigate.

It's happened to me before too. GOG knew about it but the game remains in my library to this day.

In a previous ninja giveaway, after clicking "Reedem this gift" it gave a strange error with something like popup. I thought it was because somebody else redeemed the code at the same time, or a little earlier. I should have taken a screenshot but i didn't.
