Really sounds like a Myth stile gameplay, although because the OP has no recollection of exploding dwarfs I highly doubt it.

The protagonist is called Connacht and he is a barbarian.
Thanks, so much for this! I've been looking for information on this game for a long time. Forgot the title. As it happens, it wasn't the name of the barbarian so that could've mislead people. Thanks!

I haven't played Myth 3 yet. I loved 1 and 2. I picked 1 up a little while ago and hated the controls. But I may give it another go. I absolutely loved that game ages and ages ago.

Myth 2, I believe, is the fan favorite. It was quite spectacular.

If you find a place to buy them online as a digital download, let us know. I only know that you can get the discs fairly cheap on Amazon.
