2011 has been a fantastic year for GOG.com, let's make it even better and make the last push to achieve the 6 million unique downloaded games milestone.

During our presentation at the CD Projekt Fall 2011 Conference we've shared some numbers that show how successful this year was for GOG.com, all that was possible thanks to you - our great community. One of the big milestones we'd like to celebrate with you is the 6 million unique downloaded games! Help us achieve this number and we'll launch a time-limited special offer for all GOG.com users!

Note that when we say "unique games downloaded," that means redownloading games that you have already downloaded before won't increment the counter.

When the counter on the main page of the website hits 6 million, two exciting things will happen. First off, the lucky user who downloaded our 6 millionth unique game will receive everything that's currently in the catalog, absolutely free! Secondly, everyone who has an account on GOG.com will be able to download Broken Sword: Shadow of The Templars Director’s Cut for free, thanks to Sir Charles Cecil and Revolution Software. The offer will be valid only for 48 hours starting from hitting the milestone, so be sure to check GOG regularly or follow us on and [url=https://www.facebook.com/gogcom]Facebook. Let's get cracking to unlock this achievement as soon as possible - it's all in your hands now!
Congrats Dotur. Hope you have an awesome time with your impressive new collection :-)
Man, I bought Ultima Underworld 1 + 2 for nothing. >:(

Taleroth: I'm in that position as well. As a sign of my sheer indignant outrage, I will post a frowny face.

...
I can't bring myself to do it.

TheEnigmaticT: As a result of the fact that Broken Sword is a well-known franchise, it has already sold pretty well, so we would have had to negotiate two completely seperate giveaways to cover all of the people who already own the game. Not all of our partners are as awesome as Revolution Software, who was kind enough to say, "Sure, you can give that game away for 48 hours." We wanted to make sure to reward them by keeping attention on them for that cool move, so we can't give away a second game to all of you guys who are already owners of BS1.

Sorry about that!
Meh .. you could easily give the guys who already bought it a discount or something ... thanks for nothing ..

I'm certain that you were being sarcastic, yet there is no need to be rude. While I'm amongst many that had already bought BS I, I feel no ill will towards GOG. If it weren't for their awesome deals in the past, I wouldn't had bought it in the first place. At GOG, the customer is always the winner.

Except when they aren't. :p

Haven't seen Dotur around here. Dotur will probably be gone forever buried in a colossal pit of games.
Congratulations on 6M Good Old Games! :D

Well, if we are added extraneous comments to this thread:

It's my opinion that people joke about suicide to often. Knowing multiple people that have done this and a few others that have attempted it (like me) would cause people to think twice about saying things like this, regardless of if they are serious or not.

Now, back on topic and pats on the back to GOG.

Go ask Valve a free game for the people that owned Portal 1 because they have made it free twice already and while you are at it complain that they made TF2 free2play then.
GOG is in no obligation to gift more games or give discounts. If you already bought the game it means you felt the price was fair and you had time to play it before the people who got it for free.

Mmm ... so I should kill myself because I disagree with something ? a slight case of extreme fanboyism on your behalf I would say .... ;)
