Ok I don't normally create petitions, this is the first one which I ever made. But I think that after the wonderfull support from CD Projekt RED for us gamers, I owe this to them.

Read the description and sign it if you agree with it. Thank you ! :)

Oh, yes, free speech is so very annoying.
No!

It might be an awful review by a guy who only played the game for five minutes, but he's still allowed to spout his useless opinions.

Every speech is free, but some speech is more free than other speech!
This seems rather silly, to be honest. It's also counterproductive. You risk getting a headline like "Obsessed fans demand low review scores for Witcher 2 be removed" (which doesn't actually make Witcher 2 sound all that good) just to hide an internet comment you don't agree with.
The website is an unknown, I wouldn't worry about it.

Also, I don't usually correct the English of someone who doesn't speak it natively, but in this case it's because you said something different. When you say "get down the review", the words you're looking down are "take down the review." "Get down" is English slang for partying and/or sex.
A review is an opinion based on the perspective of a persons experience so will I sign a petition just because someone has a different opinion to someone else?
No

Thank you, I'll fix it.

Read the description on the petition first, please. It's not about the opinion, but that review contains misleading information and lies with which people who actually played it can hardly agree.

I just found it unfair that a one small unknown site can ruin 90% Witcher 2 metacritic score obviously just to get hits and money from Ads.
But the misleading information and lies are his opinion. While I agree doing it to get hits is shameful it's not something we should really get up in arms about (not to mention that said review is getting flamed anyway). Most people will buy a game based on the majority voice and that voice says that this game rocks.

I simply quote some of the comments of the mentioned review to express my opinion:

They’re fairly convoluted in terms of gameplay mechanics, and not really user friendly. While I enjoy the game immensely, better concessions should have been made to accommodate an audience who has no idea what The Witcher even is.

Reviews should always be a guide — never an ultimatum. If you’re an RPG nut, read some other reviews in addition to this one — you may find the game interesting. If you’re completely new to the series and you’re looking to get your feet wet, you’ll find this review to be helpful. Different perspectives are always a great thing.

4.0/4.5 is described as “A title with potential that was executed poorly. Many issues that outweigh the few good qualities that do exist.” which is consistent with his opinions in the review. As a newcomer to the series he felt the bad outweighed the good and does not recommend the purchase. Remember 5.0 is ‘mediocre’.

Game scores tend to be pretty inflated (check the mean game score vs movie score on metacritic), but as long as the review backs up opinions and is consistent with the site’s review guidelines it’s a valid review. This review does both. You can disagree with the opinions, but attacking the integrity of the reviewer and the site because you disagree is silly.

If a console gamer feels the console version is too complicated and "impenetrable" for him, that is his prerogative.

If anything, your petition just makes the review and the site more known. Are you working for that site, huh?
Hey OP, people are allowed to dislike things that you like. They're even allowed to disagree with popular opinion.

It was that same freedom of speech that allowed some moron to make this petition.

Its an opinion, he's entitled to it.
Then you'll probably want to kill me, as I didn't think Witcher 2 is such an expectionally good game. It's fun, but only reason I'm gonna play it through again is the free extra content in the new update.
First of all, these online petitions hardly, if ever work. It takes something truly spectacularly motivating and lots of media attention for one of these things to even make dent in real life. Secondly, you are asking us to sign on to suppressing someone else's free speech. Not gonna happen. This guy has the right to say whatever he wants in his opinion of the Witcher 2. You and I and everyone else have the right to disagree with it, but not the right to keep him from saying it. Thirdly, to quote Peter Griffin "Oh my gawd, who the hell cares!" No one has ever heard of this guy or his website and until you posted this petition, no one ever would have. All you are doing is giving this guy the hits he was looking for anyway. Not to mention, this guy is just one review among hundreds; believe me, his "voice" will be drowned out. Lastly, if the guy actually posted libelous statements, that's something for the CDPR legal department to deal with, not a petition.
