Soo. This is a new Windows installation. Everything is a mess. (All those tiny little changes one makes using WIndows... gone. I barely know what's going on anymore!)

What baffles me is that when I realized it's still crackling, I went and bootet Ubuntu from the stick again and did the exact same thing that causes it in Windows. NOTHING.
It seems unlikely that it would be a hardware issue when I can boot a different OS and not have the same problem? Unless it's to do with my HDD, any chance that's the case? Or is now the time to stop eating so that I can go and buy new hardware components? :|
