Maybe you can help me find the titles of these 5 PC games from the past. I only tried them once at a friend's home, somewhere in time between 2000-20004. They were just quick sessions to see how those games looked and played, so I can't give you many details, only "snapshots", so to speak; I hope they're enough for you expert gamers. Of course, take what I write with reserve, I can't swear it's 100% accurate.

1) a first-person mech game; it took place around some planetary base, under a dark sky, and the planet surface was covered in snow.
EDIT: it's likely Starsiege, or maybe one of the other mech games from Metaltech series

2) a hack-and-slash game with cartoonish graphics. The only thing that I remember is that at one point, goblin-like monsters kept coming in until you killed one of them who was calling the others with a trumpet.
EDIT: this is Silver, thanks to lugum and ChillyMonkey

3) a strategy game set in the future; it was turn-based, and I remember some sleek boat units. The tutorial had vocal commentary; the instructions were spoken by a deep male voice.
EDIT: probably Massive Assault, awaiting confirmation (voice over in training mission?)

4) an FPS set in a space station(?), with zombies. I remember being jump-scared by one of those, which I promptly shot in the groin.
EDIT: should be Doom 3, thanks to dr.schliemann

5) a real-time or turn-based strategy game set in a fantasy world, with top-down view, where you had to build villages, gather resources etc. The only detail that stands out in my memory is that there were little portraits in a very distinctive, almost grotesque style, maybe in the top-left corner. For some strange reason I seem to recall that this was a Russian game. (note: it's not AoW).
EDIT: this is Tzar (thank you Mondkalb!)

Could be System Shock 2, although I would guess that's well known enough that you wouldn't have to ask.

SS definitely fits the description to a T, I think.
I remember those "I'm SORRY" zombies scaring me a few times.
Can't really think of anything else that would fit the bill, ZPC popped into my mind and Marathon, but that wasn't ported 'till 2007 or something.
And Rebel Moon Rising, but none of those had zombies in them as far I can remember.
3 is almost certainly Massive Assault, or maybe it's expansion . 5 might be Chaos Overlords, that we have here on GOG.

Nope, this is Deathspank. is a video with the scene you're talking of.<div class="quot quot_text normal_color "><div class="small_avatar_2_h"><img src="/upload/avatars/2012/07/7880dbee1b6d2901a98c904a4ca7f3e2a1831577_t.jpg" width="16" height="16" alt="avatar" /></div><span class="quot_text"><span class="quot_user_name">cose_vecchie: </span></span>4) an FPS set in a space station(?), with zombies. Deathspank is from 2010 however...the OP said between 2000 and 2004.

I think it may be Heavy Gear or Heavy Gear 2. At least the second one certainly had scenarios with a snowy landscape (including ones at night).

Time travel case, for sure.
5) Maybe Tzar?

It has those portraits:

The first 1) game sounds like it could be from Shogo: Mobile Armor Division in the first level. Shogo is a really fun mech/FPS game and it's on GOG!
Was #3 a hex-based resource-gatherer with a set number of turns per map? I can think of one but the name escapes me.
