So, many years ago, I remember seeing this game in an ad somewhere, perhaps at Gamestop, or maybe it was on the shelves there...

Anyway, I can't for the life of me remember its title, but I do remember a few select details.

Whatever the title was, I swear it was the Third game in a series (III)...
Also, I remember it having a medieval fantasy setting...I believe it was an action or adventure game, but I'm not positive...from gameplay screenshots I remember, it must be Third-Person Perspective as well, probably top down...
I think the cover art featured a blond man in armor...front on I believe.

This is where my memory gets sketchy...I think that he was leaning up against a sword or something, but you could only see him from his waist up on the box, and the sword was pointed into the ground...

I know it's a long shot, but does this bring any games to mind for anyone? Thanks much!

Seems to fit my description...very well actually...but this isn't the game I am thinking of...the blond hair should be shorter, I guess. Thanks for the effort!

EDIT: Also, I remember seeing a screenshot for it where this dragon was flying in the air, and attacking a castle ramparts, and you see the dragon from a top down perspective, and this is the shot that makes me think it's a top-down game.

Hehe, thanks for the try...Something in my mind says that the title began with an "s" but...again, my memory of this is really fuzzy.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys....I'll review them all extensively later...I still don't think the problem is solved.

I think...that story had something to do with an heir claiming the throne...?

Can you give a year? Or close to when you think you saw it? Also, is this a PC game or a console game?

As far as a year goes, I can only say I'm pretty sure it's no later than 2008.

And it's definitely a PC game, sorry for not making that distinction earlier.
