Ok so I don't have a picture only a description:

Playable characters included Bruce Campbell / Ash Williams, Arnold Schwarzenegger / Terminator, Stallone, Bruce Willis etc.

This game supported two players and was a Platform based Puzzle in which you had to move blocks to kill what I think were aliens. There were only certain ways to do certain levels and if you got stuck you would have to give up - in doing so characters commited suicide. Bruce Campbell for example uttered 'It got into my head and went bad, so I lopped it off at the neck' before chopping off his head.

This would have been on Windows (probably about the time of Win 98 or Me)

I've googled my butt off to try to find this but it doesn't even seem to exist anymore.

Was this a commercial game? Or someones private project?

I'm assuming it was a commercial game - 90% sure it was a demo - probably off a PC Format Disc (we used to have the magazine a lot as kids).

The quality was certainly high enough to rule out Indie.
This sounds amazing. Bruce Campbell? How have I never heard of this?

Before the time of big internet game sites?

Like Miniclip? Yea definately before them.

Let's see I'm pretty sure it was my Dad's PC, so I woulda been 14 so we're thinking... 1998? Although that does seem early so I may be a year or two off here.

Every site like GiantBomb etc which has Platform Puzzler Listings aswell as listings of games featuring Arnie, Sly, Campbell etc gives me absolutely nothing. Might try tweeting Bruce Campbell .

Ha that looks awesome! But unfortunately that's not it - the sprites were much more detailed and larger.

Also it wasn't a Platform in the sense that you travel along, you sorta stuck to a screen length or two. Going up and down trying to get to the aliens.
I can't find anything worth noting, it sounds much more like a flash game to be honest, that or if it really was a commercial game, it was never released.
I'll try to find the real Bruce Campbell Twitter page and send him a tweet question.

Edit: Tweeted Bruce Campbell, will update if I get a reply.

I have looked and so far have had no luck...maybe a demo of a game that never got an official release or cancelled...i would imagine with that cast it would not be that hard to find.
All i could find was Pitfall 3d featuring Bruce Campbell as a voice actor. There is nothing with all those named actors together. It can't have been a commercial release.
The only game I can find that matches "platformer" with "Bruce Campbell" and is from roughly the right time is Pitfall 3-D: Beyond The Jungle. However, it was only released for the Playstation 1. On the other hand, there have been PC demos of games which subsequently had their PC release cancelled. Still, it doesn't include any of the other actors, so that's probably not it. Altogether, it sounds like a game that cannot possibly exist.

Updating the thread just now, I see that I've been ninja'd by gameon.
I guess you can all see I've really dug through google before asking here now ;).

I think you're probably right regarding a demo that never got released. I'm going to turn my hunt towards PC Format Demo Discs now.

Thanks for your help.
