Hi folks! I received a very kind message from a fellow GOGlodyte checking in on me and was encouraged to make a little update to let any who care know that things are going well in my corner of the world, And to help make the post not entirely about ME, I'll make it a giveaway.

To enter, simply say you're in. Rep 20 or above, please.
Prize: Primordia (Steam)
I'll close this sometime either later tonight or tomorrow night.

Anyway, the knee surgery went well, they reattached my quad and as many tendons and ligaments as they could, and I've spent the past week on my back (rimshot) with my leg propped up, out of my mind on pain meds.
I'll have my leg in an immobilizer for another six weeks or so, and then I can begin bending it and start physical therapy. In the mean time, lots of lying down, but having the Wheel of Time books on audiobook has been a freaking life saver. :)

I've missed you folks and hope all are doing well!
We've missed you, too, akhliber! :) Hope your leg gets better! We're rooting for ya! Count me in, and thanks :D

Edit: oh shit, I just realized I already have this XD If I win, give it to kojocel. Dunno if Licurg wants to change his entry or not now :)

I am in. Thank you.

I didn't know about your trouble (was it an accident?) but I'm sure as hell glad you're OK man. I have an acquaintance of sorts on another website, and I found out she had tongue cancer, and had to be operated. She hasn't responded since, and it makes very worried.
YOU'RE ALIVE ! YAY ! +1 and in, but if I win, please give it to JohnWalrus.
Not In, thanks!

Glad to know its all going ok and thanks for letting us know how you are.
now back to your recovery! :)
that reminds me i tried to after my surgery and i gave up! im a slow reader and this was even slower, i think it must have been the book as a lot of people love audio books! there awesome for this type of thing apparently.

It was quite an embarrassing accident, actually. The doctors said they normally only see that sort of damage in serious sports injuries, but sadly, all I was doing was jogging down the driveway to get the mail. It was pouring rain and my foot slipped, then my knee twisted underneath me and my kneecap dislocated as a result of my quad and some connective tissue tearing. The biggest fail of all is that I didn't even make it to the mail box, I just hopped back inside in defeat lol.
Good to see you and have some news akhliber :-) Hope your knee and your leg will going better soon !

Thank you for your generosity, I'm not in.
Not in but +1 and get well soon.

At any rate, glad to have you back amongst us mortals :) and thanks again for the giveaway.
Glad your surgery went well.

Not in, but thanks.
Had my share of knee surgery and didnt like it. Currently helping a mate through his (also had his lower leg shattered, nerve damage etc and has to wear a cage). Not good. Hope you manage to get through it mentally unscarred mate!

Oh, and not in!
No shame in losing to the mailbox. Horrible creatures.

Not in this time, glad to hear the surgery went well (brrr, surgery), hopefully the rehabilitation follows suit (brrr, rehabilitation).
Glad you're doing well!

(Not in)
Prescription pain meds are awesome. That's all I remembered from a broken ankle a few years ago...

Get well soon! Thank you! I'm in..
Good that you are doing well I hope for a quick recovery!
