Sanjuro: Wow. Just... wow.
We hosted Eurovision, Universiade and Olympic games trying to show that Russia is a really good country. And now it looks like a couple of announcements from GOG turned out to be much more effective than all those three events combined.
Добро пожаловать.
LOL, that's a solid point. You had Eurovision?

Nice_Boat: Call me stupid or hypocrat buyer, but I think that we, europeans buyers, should not take advantage of this using a russian VPN, proxy or whatever. In any case we should stay buying games on dollars using an american one.
You mean you don't believe we are all Russians???

But to be honest, I think you are right. I won't really use a VPN and buy games cheaper than I'm supposed to. I will just buy less games (or don't buy certain games at all). For me this thread is a reminder to GOG that they always said their business is about trust. They offer a good deal and trust us not to abuse it. By changing our identities to Russian ones we might remind them that after they betrayed us and we can't trust them any longer, they shouldn't be certain that they can trust us anymore.

Evidently I was wrong about the 'Domino Theory' being a load of paranoid Right Wing bullshit. :P
So who's pre-ordering AoW3 for only RUB599.00 ?
Such a good price, thank you gog.com !!

Elenarie: The question now is, will they implement DRM in order to block such practices?
IMO they do not need DRM, just changing the language of the user interface to russian should be more than enough.

But what if we Russians want to use English interface?
Does anybody happen to know Vladimir Putin? I believe it would be a good time to take advantage of the bickering between the Countries of the UK and claim them for ourselves!

And that's going to do exactly what? Stop people from clicking two buttons to buy a game for cheaper prices?
