Some of this might be considered to be spoilers, but I think it's an even stronger indication that this game will be absolutely amazing, and I NEED THIS NOW. I've been waiting years for it, and my mouth is watering as the release date nears.
Ooh yes, this is loking about as sexy as a game can get. Sort of reminds me of an exchange in The Venture Brothers
Mr Doe: If that was a woman, I'd marry it
Mr Cardholder: And I'd jeopardise our friendship by nailin' your hot wife
Also its got a bit of a new feature to preserve the mood, its not going to pop up the 'trophy earned' box until after the chapter ends so you don't get a tense scene ruined by a happy PING!
Make it for PC damn consoles.
I was really, REALLY excited about heavy rain ... About 2 years ago. They were hyping it for so long I don't even care anymore.

I never cared?

Two years ago we didn't know anything about it, other than it would be made by Quantic Dream and be very good-looking, which was enough to make it number one on my must-have list. It's still there for me, now that we're finding out about everything that will make it so jaw-droppingly awesome.

Agreed.
Its not like it wouldent be even better on computer anyway.
Now they just need to get working on another Omikron. Just loved the atmosphere and universe of that game so much.

Exactly... Farenheit was a modest hit on PC and no one on console cared about it at all, yet they make their next game a console exclusive. Telltale is doing the same thing, modifying it's resurging adventure crop to be more console like when that is not the user base making those games sell.
I don't get it.
Of course I am bias and want everything on PC, so... who knows.
I do love that they announced this game will not support trophy notifications though.
It supports the trophy notices, it just delays them to stop them spoiling the mood
Personally I thought farenheit played better on console than PC, the controls felt more intuitive
It is a pity that heavy rain won't be on anything but PS3, I'm sure it'd do the PC proud. Maybe the control system is part of the reason, it seems like they use every element of the PS3 controller they can including the motion control parts

I only played the PC demo, but using the dual shock analog sticks made the actions feel more interactive than tapping keyboard keys.
I stopped caring once they made it clear it wasn't going to come to PC. Such a shame really, I thought Farenheit was one of the best games of 2007 despite the quirky story towards the last 3/4 of the game.

Wouldn't know, never played it on console and never would since its on PC, but I guess that could be the case. Still, controllers work on PC so... :)
In any case, I know the game was only successful on PC, and adventure games have often tried to crack the consoles and failed, so this seems risky. It has a ton of marketing and such though, so maybe it can sell based on hype and graphics alone. I expect it will flood the market with used copies though.

It's also because they're specifically utilizing the strengths of the hardware, like Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 have done. While PC games can look downright amazing, there's just something about Metal Gear Solid 4's visuals that make it pop off the page and grab you.
What did killzone 2 do that was so special? It looked like a fairly generic (though very polished) FPS when I played it. Aside from a few slightly gimmicky uses of the motion controller, it seemed fairly normal
