My son pre-ordered Heavy Rain without checking the Rating and he will not play this game as it violates his convictions on the nudity issue. I guess it is possable to turn off most of the mature rated content but not the nudity. So - if there is any sole out there that would like to help him out and you have not purchased this game he would like to sell it.
Thanks.
I don't want to start a flame war or seem like I'm judging or anything, but I was just curious what exactly his convictions were regarding it. I respect his decision, but I'm just kinda curious what it is if you don't mind me asking.
I would buy it but sadly I already picked up my preorder 10 minutes ago.

He knows that his girlfriend would not want him to play the game and he loves and respects her enough to not play it.

Seems to me you raised him well. *Claps*
I'd buy it since I like adventure games and my gf sees games as art like I do, but I don't own a PS3...Is he selling that as well? =P
Good luck with the sale dude.
From what I've read, its justified as part of the story and is actively designed to make you uncomfortable rather than titilate so the traditional issues of nudity aren't really relevant.
Also this might just be my rebellious and selfish nature coming out but I've always been of the belief that choosing to not do something that is harmless and that you normally would want to (and the preorder is evidence that this is the case) for the sake of someone else is letting them have too much control over your life.
Is playing it when she's not around an option?

I certainly do not want to start a flame war - only sell the game and try and re-coop some of his money, but harmless is subjective. He pre-ordered without checking the rating on the game and would not have ordered it if he had. So he really doesn't want to play it. We all bow to some level of control if you want to call it that. I see it as a choice and he is making the right one.
Cant you just keep the game, and play it yourself? Maybe reimburse the funds too.

Nope - I don't have a PS3 - He has his own and I am a PC Gamer - sometimes use a handheld - PSP or DS.

Saying from experience, he could but it wouldn't be fair to his son since it would be teasing him mentally for his choices.
I still think the son has the right idea of making his girl feel wanted.
EDIT: oh, now I see why you can't.

With all this talk, I find it ironic that the one playing Heavy Rain in my house is my wife, not me.
I will have to see what kind of trade in value he can get after a day and have him put it towards Final Fantasy XIII as I know he wants that in March.

ah, well, ok then.
I feel sort of responsable for him buying it as I mentioned it to him after hearing about it here on the forums. Neither of us really gave the rating any thought as the early videos never really hinted toward it and it looked like a great game.

Just out of harmless curiosity, how old is he and has he ever played a Dead or Alive game? Again, just curious,

He is 19 and never played not to my knowledge. Serious gaming started for him started at 14 when I introduced him to Lineage II - where we have both played off and on for years. He just recently bought himself a PS3 and a WII and has been playing those exclusively.
