Just paying my respects to my favourite author, Richard Matheson, who died on Sunday.
May he rest in peace
RIP and thank you for giving us all the opportunity to read one of the best books ever written, I AM LEGEND.
Oh damn. First Ray Bradbury and now, Richard Matheson? Rest in peace, Legend.
A lot of famous people are dying this year are they?
What a shame. And to think most people associate "I am Legend" to the movie is pretty sad. Jeez, right after Ray Bradbury...

RIP Richard Matheson

I didn't know that! Shit I've read, I think I've read, every one of his short stories and screenplays that I could get my hands on. "I am Legend" depresses the hell out of me not because of it's content but because it is one of the most masterfully written things ever and yet all they do is trample on it with bad movies leaving millions who would rather see the movie than read the book wondering what all the fuss is about.

Well it's not like he died really young or in a tragic accident but still, this is gonna drag me down for a while.

I NEVER EVERT EVER get emotional but I'm a big fucking mess right now.
Shit.

Love Matheson. Especially his short stories.

And especially Born of Man and Woman.
I saw the other day that Vince Flynn died at 47...47!! Damn cancer!!
Oh God what is happening, first Banks, then JACK VANCE, now Matheson. All the great authors are dying....

Gene Wolfe is pretty old now too ... :(

All the while Nicholas Sparks continues to breath. Sad.
