The reason I ask is because the games GOG removed from their catalogue also meant their respective gamecards were removed from the site as well, that includes:

- Colin McRae Rally 2005
- Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising
- ObsCure
- Operation Flashpoint: GOTY Edition
- Republic: The Revolution
- TOCA Race Driver 3
- The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings

Has anyone happen to take a snapshot or save the webpage of those removed gamecards? Also the original Witcher 2 gamecard was one of the best gamecards made, as it was the only one with a colored background while all the rest are gray-scaled. Unfortunately that gamecard was replaced with a new one for the Enhanced Edition. So there is a total of 7 gamecards gone. Anyone save them by chance?

gameon: Obscure was on GOG.com? Damn, i hope it comes back.
It's available on GG, last time I checked.
If anyone has backed up installers of the missing games could they take a snapshot of the installation screen?

Btw, I'd love to have those games as well. Does anyone here own them before they were taken down?
avatar
gameon: I just searched for it, and you're right, it is available on gamers gate.

Do they have it as an exclusive or something?
Allegedly they lost the license for the Sum 41 music video and had to pull it off of GOG.

And strangely GamersGate sell it with both videos :)

Darling_Jimmy:
Thank you sir, much appreciated.

Unfortunately the Wayback Machine doesn't cache the gamecards very well due to javascripts I think. So hopefully maybe some one else took a snapshot or two of the other gamecards... here's hoping.
Clean versions of the gamecards can be found at each product's individual wiki page:

I should know. I got 'em all. :p

The files with the gradients are still available, it's just that the Wayback Archive doesn't use the right image links.

When did those get taken down?

Other than Colin McRae and TOCA 3, I don't recal any announcements on those being removed.

Yeah I'm aware of that, I'm looking for the snapshots as they appeared on gog.com, like the way Darling_Jimmy provided for the original Witcher 2 gamecard above.

I wish GOG went back to using colored backgrounds for weekend sales, as well.

omg thanks i was actually looking for that image last night but couldn't trace it down because of the numeric filename.

oh yeah that image is actually an edited merging of 2 wallpapers that was made exclusively for that gamecard since you won't find an actual wallpaper of it.

also the witcher ee has a colored gamecard as well. forgot to mention that.

I think I did get a screengrab of the gamecard for both Witcher games. However I am out of town at the moment, so if I may not be able to post it/them until Monday.
