"story from moby games
Crime City is a classical point-and-click adventure. You play Mr. White, a poor chap who writes detective stories but wants nothing more than to be a real private investigator. It's a pretty classical story: one day, he can't really write a thing, but then, a mysterious blonde stands before his door, telling him his Father, Henry White, was arrested for murder. It's up to you to prove the police wrong.

A difference to the classical adventure exists: you need money to travel, get information or training. To get money, you can trade at the stock market. What's also different is that the time of the day really matters and that the protagonist becomes sleepy after staying up too long."

At Best Buy I saw a PC box for Crime Craft. I felt a little dirty, having seen something so awful.

This game looks pretty cool, though.

ya there are lots of games with similar names crime cities, crime etc but this 1992 release is real good although not many people know about it, when i was stuck in a part of the game real bad, i referred to gamefaqs for some help but its even non existent there

eventually i solved the mystery, i was so overjoyed with this game that i thought i would post about here, to see if there was anyone else who played it.

GameRager: Not all the way through though(my ocd means I can barely finish most gamezs cuz i overanalyze every scene, every word, etc).....it was good what I played though. I liked the office stuff, the pc/newspaper/phone numbers....reminded me a bit of Tex Murphy tbh.
ya you could download stuff from that computer, play games, buy and sell stocks they really did the bbs on the computer well

Nothing against Crime Fighter... the original Version (not this linked remake) is great... played it for months :)

Ma Baker was always in my team ;)

ya there are so many other games with the same name, the other interesting part is this was done by impression games, the ones who made the Caesar series, Zeus and Pharaoh series too
This was one of my favorite DOS games as a kid.
It absorbed me.
I had to take alot of notes.
Ahh, the pre internet days and adventure game note taking.
