I am sure you have already tried this,
I find after uninstalling a game (such as commandos, fallout 2, xiii) if I search through the registry for the game I have uninstalled under the publishers names, developers name, and the game itself I can come across all kinds of left overs scattered around. I feel they sometimes do it deliberately to punish players for uninstalling their games.

Occasionally the Edit/Uninstall programs portion of the Control Panel can also see a game that has been uninstalled from a machine too. I had that problem with Dawn of War 2, that caused me irritation as it could not remove the game as the files had all gone, but still saw something.

Hadn't tried checking through control panel actually. I'll have a quick look.

Nope - doesn't appear to be anything. Cheers though 011284mm

Are you sure you don't have this entry in the register?
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BurutCT\

in the demo if this entry is present it doesn't install the game saying "Application already installed"

or maybe in the final game is another location. Try Burut in the register.

Sachys: If you've never tried the RPG Hard To Be A God, I highly recommend it! It's based upon the novels by the Strugatsky Brothers, has a great story and some great gameplay.

F4LL0UT: I heard that the game is pretty much shit, not worthy of its title.

@Sachys: sorry i cant help you, i just reinstalled it on my machine with no issues.

That's okay - Klaattu found the answer to my problem.
Glad you could finally install the game and have a happy birthday!

Sachys: Well, I didnt think so - and some other people would agree, but you could always try the demo and see for yourself rather than being unhelpful.
Sheesh, if you don't want people to comment on the game's quality then don't start your first post with a recommendation of it. :P I was just surprised that someone actually praises this game so much after only having read mediocre and bad reviews.
