somegamer786: Are your sure it's dead? See if it'll work with another computer. Put it in a USB plug in hard drive spot thingy and when it's running, check if it make a faint click.

cjrgreen: The OP did that; see his most recent post.

Disk that has had previously corrected hard errors, now will not detect or boot, same failure on another computer, it's dead.
Has he/she done CHKDSK in windows if the OP uses it?

Not detected. Can't CHKDSK a disk that BIOS can't even detect.

I don't know whether the OP has booted WD DLT and tried to detect the disk that way. That is the last resort.

I guess it is dead. No sound of spinning either. This has nothing to do with Starforce. Simply coincidence, i wish i can amend the topic title.

Guess that's the end of the line worm, for my terms. Maybe it "fainted", na it's just dead.

Just bought WD Cavier Green 1TB as replacement, the most economic choice for me. Hopefully this one last little bit longer.
Sorry for resurrect this old thread, but, I'm recently installed DCS World (the base game, not add.ons), and after installed it I'm find an perfomance down in the system, mainly by continus HD reads, and not rebott and no game uninstall resolve this At the end I'm need to use a restore point to go the system to normal, maybe starforce the culprit?
