The US has the whole "you get pinched if you're not wearing green" tradition, but it's largely just schoolkids who do that (and maybe drunk guys using it as an excuse to play grab ass at the bar). I don't know if any other countries do that.

In the US foreign holidays always boil down to an extra excuse to get really drunk, St. Pattie's is no different in this regard.

I'll just have some green ketchup with my green Shamrock shake with my green food. Incidentally St. Patrick's Day is the only day I eat vegetables.

Make sure to add a lot of Velveeta cheese (with green food coloring) to them to make them extra healthy!:)
