I did not realize it was so close to US Independence Day. I already have fireworks. Happy birthday, Canada.

Now when did they join the Union?
Happy Canada Day to my neighbors across the river (Day-Twa)!
From your friends and neighbors in the Pacific Northwest of the US...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA!!!

Yay Canada! Woot!
In honor of Canada I will drink Labatt Blue and Molson tonight
It's a conspiracy I tell you! Having July 1st be right before a weekend, so I would forget to cash my cheque in time to make use of it.

Happy Canada Day.
Like many Canadians, I will not be watching that celebration with the royal couple on CBC today.

Ugh. There a nice couple and all, but why is so much attention paid to this? They have no real power though they're wealthy as hell and all they do is just sit or stand, wave, smile but say absolutely nothing. Have you ever seen a mute couple be so loved before?

Finally, the notion that he married a commoner pisses me off. She may not be royalty but her family is very wealthy.
Happy Birthday Canada
Happy Day Canada this one is for you thanks to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O_Canada and not my memory I'm sorry to say (still it's the thought that counts isn't it?):

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

And for the French speakers of course:
Ô Canada!
Terre de nos aïeux,
Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux!
Car ton bras sait porter l'épée,
Il sait porter la croix!
Ton histoire est une épopée
Des plus brillants exploits.
Et ta valeur, de foi trempée,
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.

Thanks for taking our draft dodgers Canada, we owe you one! :D
