Hiya,

In a bit of a hurry so I gotta make this quick but...

I was trying to download something from the Microsoft Download Centre, and I came across this bug or something (see attachment) - I thought yeah fine, must be that one download - but no, I try something else, it also has it.

Any idea how to fix?

I see - or rather I don't see. I get the same half-blank screen. This is clearly an issue for MS support - fubar page.

Looks like a page formatting error or a failed javascript. It may be solvable by tinkering in your advanced settings, though if you haven't changed anything there, they should be fine. Such problems are usually caused by the web-site itself and should be fixed soon.

If you want an immediate solution, you could try a different browser. This may, or may not, allow you to go about your business. Also, you could try to sort through the page source, and see if it's supposed to redirect you somewhere, go there manually.

Also, what's the URL? We might be able to help if we knew it.

EDIT: See if this site works for you: http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/confirmation.aspx?id=11887
If not, try subbing the id of your site at the end of that.

MS loves IE and hates FF, so you might try that first.

I managed to get the download by stopping the page from loading halfway through, but the thing is the one I need is in 5 parts, and the bit you select what parts you want is blanked. :-(

I could give you the links, but I need to know whether 32 or 64 bit, or the SP1 toolkit. For that matter, can you confirm that it is the right thing you need?

Actually, when you load that page, even if you don't see the links, try opening its source and search for ".rar", you should find all the links to the files, then just pick the ones you need. Hope this works, whether the page does or not (it does for me). Below are the links I get, though again, check to see it's the right thing you need.

That happened with me too actually, though I was looking for a reader for one of the office functions. None of the browsers fixed the issue and I ended up getting a replacement service from IBM instead. You might be able to ind the service pack hosted somewhere else, or just use a link or something that makes the download automatic instead of requiring you to activate the download client.

NP, and yes that is the one I found, and I wasn't myself sure if this "Evaluation" thing was what you're after. But if 11887 is the one, then them's the files. If there's a better version, you could just do the same thing for its id.
