Seems to be only for XBONE, I woulda bought it if it was on 360 even though I still have all the games as CE versions on 360 and H:2 steelbox edition on old black xbox.

The already did H:1 Anniversary for 360 so H:2 shouldn't be too much of a stretch and they only slightly tarted up the subsequent games, again, it shouldn't be too much of a stretch for 360.

I can see the marketing strategy in this move, to try to force players to adopt the new console, but it pisses me off so much, it pushes me further away from the XBONE.
Sadly no one cares for Halo except for orcishgamer I miss alot in the GOG Community.
Well, I hope they'll do a PC version too, because I like this saga and I wanna play other games, I'm bored of Halo 1 and 2 :D

Yeah, I remember him, where'd he go?

Honestly, this is one instance where I don't see that. Since the XBone isn't backwards compatible, a title like this that offers every multiplayer map from all four Halo games seems like a nice treat to anyone who sold off their 360 and games to buy the XBone. Anyone on 360 that wants to play some "old school" Halo has plenty of ways to do so.

Yes I see what you mean, but it would have been no stretch to make 360 versions but they didn't bother.

Yes, but by the same token, you are also not really missing out on anything by not getting it either. Plus, in the event that you ever do get an XBone, you at least know that this collection will be there to let you continue to enjoy those "classic" Halo maps on your new console.

Fixed that for you. ;)

Halo 3 is damn near the top of my wishlist for PC ports that never came to be.

Well I'm missing a tarted up Halo 2, Id buy the collection on 360 just for that :)
I don't think it's entirely a cash grab. You can get all those games for way cheaper on amazon for the 360. That being said I'm not sure if Halo 2 was remastered for XB1 so that might be the only thing you really miss out on.

This ^^^
Yeah, the Halo Master Chief Collection is the only thing that really interests me on the Xbone right now. I have Halo 1 and 2 for PC, and 1 seems to work alright on my laptop, but never having had a 360, I've never really had that much to do with it, but the bundle looks to be an awesome deal.

I suspect Microsoft will do what they (and other publishers) have been doing a lot of late - release it on Xbox One, then toss it out to Steam to get the last scraps of profit from it. Either way, it's unlikely that I'm going to get to play it. Shit happens.

I played through Halo for the first time aproximately half a year ago.
Why do people think this is a great game? It was extremely repetitive and had lots of flaws in gameplay.

That's the difference between playing it now as opposed to back at release.

It had great and varied gameplay, no aspect really stayed around too long, by the time you were getting a bit bored the pace shifted, it was quite well judged.
The variety of weapons and all of them had uses.
The Covenant AI for the time on a console was pretty extraordinary.
There was very little down time it was all about well paced progression, the regen shields got a lot of stick, but there was a reason for them, love or hate them.
The vehicular combat was pretty unique and well implemented, the warthog became quite iconic.
The music was quite spectacular and really set a great epic tone for what was to become a major player in the FPS market.
The MP experience was just so well done, it was a major selling point, it could be argued that Halo pushed providers into upping their game in terms of internet speed, the game was so popular.

I care.

Like others have already said, it does make sense to release the collection on the Xbox One only. These games are already available on the Xbox 360 anyway, except for the Halo 2 remastered edition.
