Maybe this is bullshit, but let me elaborate.

Yesterday I was at a friend place and the TV was running in the background. Suddenly a wild Halo 4 spot appeared (short one, haven't found it on youtube).

What was most interesting that the Windows 8 icon popped up at the end. Unfortunately the sound was off and I only got a glance at this.

Did I imagine things? Anybody else got news on this?
Microsoft needs to finally make up their mind, whether they are supporting the PC or not when it comes to gaming

Because at this point they remind me of certain Japanese publishers, who at one month say one thing but during another, I see something completely opposite
Which channel?

jamyskis: Which channel?
Oh boy. It was one of them fancy new TV boxes. But I think that show with the blonde mental dude that is helping the police was running in the background. Hitch was on before that.

I didn't give it much notice, because I only saw Halo 4 and didn't care. It was only when I saw the distinct Windows 8 logo out the corner of my eye, I became interested. Alas, then it was over.

Chances are it'll appear again on the same channel. I'll keep an eye out (or get my resident couch potato - my girlfriend - to keep an eye out. I'm not much of a TV person).

Edit: Apparently it was Sat.1.

Yes! It was.
No way that would happen, imo.
Alright, I found the solution

The "windows logo" was just the "Microsoft logo". (at the very end)
I read some rumours about in-built 360 emulator in Windows 8 but I think that project was scraped or delayed.

Does anybody care about Halo 4 on PC?

Are you sure it was not about XBox SmartGlass ?
Well I guess Microsoft could introduce Direct X 12, make it Windows 8 only and then make Halo 4 require Direct X 12 but the last time they pulled something like this (Halo 2 on Vista) it did not go so well for them so probably not.

If they put 4 on PC without 3 I will be massively irritated.

1. They are already introducing new version of DX with 8, called 11.1.

2. 5 seconds on Bing will give you the answer why DX10+ isn't portable on the 100 year old crap called XP.

SimonG: ...
Yup, the new logo represents their main consumer products, Windows via the blue, Xbox via the green, Office via the yellow and Windows Phone via the red color.

I think you missed my point and small joke entirely.

Is Direct X 11.1 exclusive to Windows 8?

I don't need to visit Bing, nor would I btw for a search. I am well aware of what went on with Direct X 10 and Vista, etc.
