No tricks, just treats!

When you think horror game for PC what comes to mind? Sanitarium, Gabriel Knight, Blood, Phantasmagoria, Alan Wake? Those games are scary indeed, but this Halloween we've decided to take the horror further than any other distributor before. This Halloween we have prepared a selection of the spookiest of the scary, the goriest of the bloody, the creepiest of the bizarre--the horroriest and thrilleriest and halloweeniest games we could find in our catalog. This Halloween, only on GOG.com, [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/halloween_promo_31_10_12]Not Scary Games 50% off for the next 48 hours ('Not' is of course ironic).

Rayman is to platforming games what Alone in the Dark is to adventures. The horrifying story features an armless, legless, and neckless protagonist raging havoc in a psychedelic world straight out of a nightmare. He is typically found wearing gloves (no fingerprints), red neckerchief (to wipe the blood), and is often accompanied by a blue-skinned frog-like crazy mutant. We're afraid to admit that you can buy all three Rayman games for $2.99 each. Definitely not for kids!

Simon the Sorcerer follows a young ordinary teenager who turns into a mad sorcerer, travels through witch-portals, and fights goblins and evil wizards after finding "Ye Olde Spellbooke", a well known Witchcraft handbook. Everyone knows that Harry Potter promotes witchcraft and devil worship--well, this so-called "adventure game" did it before it was cool! Don't be fooled by the colorful graphics, crazy logical puzzles, countless references to popular culture, and seemingly harmless story "for kids"--the incredibly low price ($2.99 for each of the Simon the Sorcerer Games) indicates that dark forces are involved.

Let us describe briefly why you should be afraid of other games in this promo:
* In Little Big Adventure 2 (only $2.99!), the aim of the game is to kill FunFrock (kill FUN!).
* Worms United and Worms 2: use various weapons to kill small worms. Games for sadists!
* Creatures series is about breeding strange creatures by means of genetic manipulations.
* Superfrog for $2.99 features an evil curse, kidnapping, and gambling.

The offer for Not Scary Games 50% off (again, 'Not' is ironic) ends this Friday at 10:59 AM GMT.
Interesting promo, with interesting games. Time to pick a couple of them it seems.
Nice promo and funny introduction
I'm going to have nightmares tonight because of these games
Yaay! Not tempted with anything
Strange idea.
some good games but awful Halloween promo would much preferred a standard Halloween deal.
Worms 2 off my wishlist. Thx.
Well, that's one way to avoid competing with Steam and GamersGate. And, since I was looking forward to a horror promo, one way to avoid my business.

|: yeah, I was kind of looking forward for some spooky gogs for halloween. Sure it's kind of funny but it's the kind of funny you laugh at a few days later.
It's like waking up on Xmas day, running downstairs to get your big Xmas present and finding a small Easter egg in your stocking.

Unexpected and disappointing.

More like waking up at christmas, and finding out your family are jehovas witnesses and dont celebrate christmas.
I sort of expected something witty and funny from GOG, glad to see that the company is still being run by people and not robots unlike many other gaming companies
LOL for the promo idea. So different from all those "all our zombie, monster and vampire games" promos on other sites. :)

Too bad though that you mentioned Sanitarium as one of the games not included in the promo, I'm getting ready to buy a digital replacement for my retail CD version. I played it through years ago, but looking forward to replay it.

Of this promo, I think I'll get Gobliins pack. I've played them only shortly in the past, seemed somewhat funny puzzle games. Maybe Mutant Mudds too, but I need to educate myself a bit more about it.

Worms games will still get a pass from me, as will Superfrog. All the other games in the promo I already have from GOG.

Oh, the horror!

I like this. I wonder if this is a trick and there will be a Scary Games promo later today. That would be sneaky.
