Tonight is the opening night for our New York City neighborhood production of Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar," in which I play the soon-to-be-assassinated ruler of Rome and its dominions. So it's time for my first GOG giveaway, in celebration - and, of course, in the spirit of making offerings to propitiate the gods.

Up for grabs is one copy of Project Eden, a favorite game of mine that I feel is a little neglected in the gaming world. I bought Project Eden in a sale shortly after I joined GOG, on the strength of an interesting description and a nifty promo video, and loved playing it, so it's a game I associate intensely with this place.

To enter, please have rep of 10 or more, and please want to play (or at least collect!) this game. If you'd like to add a bit of substance to your posting - it's optional - tell me something about a theater or play experience you've had: funny stuff, shows you've seen or wanted to see, plays you've liked or hated, your theory on why people say "Break a leg," what have you.

I'll close this on the Ides of March, if not sooner.

Edit: There has been such a huge response of entries for IAmSinistar, so I'm sending him a copy of the game on the grounds that GOG Has Spoken. The GA will continue with a second copy of Project Eden, which will be given away in the usual way. Since we've already danced this dance once, please enter for yourself only this time. The existing "on behalf of Sinistar" entries will be counted for the poster.

Thanks for your generosity, LinustheBold!

(Et tu, Brute?) ;)

All the best wishes to the opening night and beyond!

Please, count me in. EDIT: for IAmSinistar (just below). I was very interested in this title as the time (exchanging characters with different skills to solve situations did seem very intriguing) but I hadn't the chance to play it.

I watched many theater productions on TV in my childhood and teenager years (it was one of the banners of public TV at the time, way before of commercial ones arriving) and I enjoyed many of them, but I don't recall watching any live performance (money always going to more pressing matters).

About your request for theories, no need to re-invent the wheel when the info is out there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Break_a_leg ;)

I almost never enter giveaways, but this one is actually on my wishlist, so I'll give it a go. Thanks for the chance!

As for theatre experiences, I recently saw a local production of Beebo Brinker with my god-daughter and quite liked it. As a fan of "twilight women" pulps, it was very interesting to see this work translated to the stage, as well as plainly enjoyable on its own merits.
Is it OK to enter for someone else, Linus?

I've edited my post on behalf of IAmSinistar. Hope you don't mind... ;)

Great! Thank you! :)
I'm in for IAmSinistar.

I was forced to be in a school play once when I was a kid. I didn't enjoy the experience because back then I was very shy.

Congratulations and HAIL CAESAR!

My pleasure! The least I could do. ;)

I'm in. My shining moment on the stage was when I played the caterpillar in Alice in wonderland in high school. Unfortunately I wasn't even allowed to pretend I was smoking, instead I was given a bubble blower to make it more family friendly. A mistake in my opinion, the caterpillar isn't the same with the hookah.

I love the look of the game by its trailer. The idea of a city with multiple levels that are divided by class has been explored in several books I've read and it looks like they handle this really well.

I am in thanks.

I acted myself in some amateur plays, it was fun and i don't know maybe i should try it again sometime.
Stuff will always go wrong though, like i had to drive this cart in and it got stuck behind the scenes in which the other players skipped that part and continued without me.
In for IAmSinistar, thank you.

edit: seeing that Sinistar already got this game, I'm no longer in. ;)
