I just DLed Heroes of Might & Magic 5 bundle and it came in 5 parts.

I hit install on the first one and it looks to installing, then it says launch.

I hit launch and get this error:

H5_Game.exe - System Error
The program can't start because d3dx9_25.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.


Reinstalling does nothing..


Any suggestions?

Hey dudes, I know this post is a bit old but I am having a similar problem as this one. I have updated my video card, tried the fix mentioned above, and even tried compatibility modes for Vista SP to, why not right?

I also checked canIrunit.com, and I have a more than capable machine to run this.

I have a W7 64bit pro machine.
3 gig ram
ati radion hd 5450 vid card
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6550 @ 2.33GHz
My DX versions is 11.0


Any ideas for a fix?

That doesn't actually tell us very much. The link I provided solves a single issue: missing d3dx9_??.dll files. If your problem is at all different, it won't do much for you.

Please provide more information regarding your error.

Well early this morning I decided to revert to before I updated the Direct X, uninstalled the game, updated my video card, installed the DX and then the game, restarted and poof, it worked.

*shrugs*
