I have First Access Club membership, and decided to check the wallpapers. They updated the Duke Nukem Forever dated wallpaper I was using, that had the May date in the lower right. Obviously, the date is changed, but they made some subtle changes, the most noticeable is that it's lighter. :P

This isn't very surprising. However, it's probably for the best. If not for the fact that they may as well not rush out an incomplete product (if you can call it rushing...), I've heard some people saying there's just too good much stuff coming out in May, not the least of which is The Witcher 2 right here on GOG.

Even if money isn't a problem, or even finding time to play it all at once, they might as well find a moment where they'll have everyone's undivided attention (...though, being Duke Nukem Forever, I'd assume it's everybody else who would miss the attention). I'm personally happier Duke Nukem Forever and The Witcher 2 aren't coming out in the same month.

Though, I hate to say it, I'm not so impressed with Borderlands. It starts out as a blast, and it's a cool concept, but it gets repetitive and dull too quick, and the 5-time install limit, which is only on half of the DLC and not the other half or the main game, is ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, the less DLC the better, I wouldn't want all the DLC and the main game to have install limits. I just don't see the point, and it's seems silly that they don't just get rid of it. Then again, I can't say I really see the point of DRM to begin with...

I know this is Duke Nukem Forever, I've been waiting just as long as everybody else, I too was there when Duke Nukem 3D was the biggest thing, and I loved it, but that's just it. They can sell the game on the name alone, I have to wonder if it'll be all that good. :/
dissapointing news indeed however I'm sure I'll just be happy with Witcher 2 at that time
well i for one laughed as well :)
brilliant way to announce this.
I have a nice backlog to go through so i rather have them polish the game up to high standards then release it in an extremely buggy way.
At least it won't take a decade again.

IMHO that's probably the main if not the only reason for the extra delay. It wouldn't be the first time something like that happens, not so long ago several Activision games were pushed back several months to avoid being released at the same time than CoD.
Explanation on why DNF isn't released in NA first.

They want to achieve a bigger developing time record.

So in other words we're getting dicked by Walmart, again. For a particularly conservative outfit they really don't mind bending everybody else over.
In the videos they say "After 12 fucking years it better be good!", with a one month delay I would suspect it's just a quality thing. Obviously they aren't going for an engine rewrite over 30 days.
Now that is the way to announce delays. Hilarious :D
duke nukem FOREVER DELAYED.

lol
After watching that Youtube video I think I will pre-order. Holy crap, I think I have a new, favorite company to cheer lead for.
Nooooooooo!

Wait. They moved the release up until after my special must do or die faculty exam?

Okayyyyyyyyy!
Frankly I would have been incredibly disappointed if the game wasn't delayed. Gotta keep up traditions after all.

Yeah.

I would have announced a date, then the very next day announced a delay. That would have been awesome.
