According to wikipedia, that "death scream" is actually part of one of the band members' vocals, but they never denied the rumor because it was selling records for them.

For the link clicking impaired ( :) ) can I get a quick rundown of the urban legend (I sorta kinda enjoy them) and the game story it relates to? Nothing detailed of course I'm just curious as this seemed fun even though I had no clue!
