Black Monday was a DOS game, don't believe it was on any other platform.

You sure? Because Keypunch Software, the company that made it, created tons of stuff for the Atari.

I certainly won't deny the possibility that it was on an Atari platform, but searching about for info after my curiosity was nudged, I can only find it listed as a DOS game so far.

I posted a pic of it a few posts above, where it says "PC version". Therefore, there must've been some NON-PC versions as well.

After more research I have found that the same year, on the Atari ST, a game known as Stock Market was released, which while not bearing the name Black Monday, is strikingly similar to it based on screen shot comparison

You visit Atarimania too? :P So basically it's the same game, but they named it differently for different platforms?

Since I didn't find the exact release date of either, I can't be too certain, but it looks that way, perhaps Stock Market was released first and "Black Monday" was being made as Stock Market for DOS and then the Black Monday event occurred and it was named after it? I can't be too certain.

I just found out. Apparently, Black Monday came out in 1987, and was improved and re-released as "Stock Market" in 1990. So it's the same game, but Stock Market is a remake. I got the info from myabandonware, but I can't post the link(we can't post abandonware links in the forums). I'll PM it to you.

Very Interesting, learn something new every day, as they say. Learning stuff about gaming certainly helps make it more interesting.

Yeah. Shame they don't teach stuff about gaming in school, I might've slept less in class :P
