Unfortunately, nothing in this bundle for me that I don't already have or want from elsewhere. However, if the bonuses are decent, I'll probably pick it up for the Stalin Subway titles, though.

Crap, just paid attention and would need to pick a third game. Well, I hope they lower that requirement during the promotion like they usually do with their Build-a-Bundles. :P
Tank Universal is appealing, but not with DRM. Opinions on Stalin Subway seem pretty strong in both directions, so now I'm on the fence about it. What is good/bad about the game?

I just tested Tank Universal and it runs without Steam, so it is DRM free there - if this is any help.

That's nice to know. Does it still need the Steam client to download, or is there a direct Windows download link like some titles get?

No, you still need the Steam client to download it. It is only Desura who provide both.

nijuu: Who hasnt already got most of the good ones from this? :)
Well , i only own Robin Hood: Legend of Sherwood and Scratches: Director's Cut .

Ah well, probably will skip it in this bundle then. But thanks for the info.

The user reviews on GG are not suggesting anything bad as such

keeveek: I can't give you any big specifics, because I fell asleep pretty early in game, but the reviews were rather bad. In Poland the game even premiered in a gaming magazine, so it kinda tells something about it's quality.

but I guess some might enjoy this one. I liked Loki much more.
:-D
This seems to fit IGN's review.

Unfortunatly - Desura do not sell it... I meant as places with a client, only Desura provides stand-alone installers also generally. All Steam games need the client to download.

Tank Universal is on GamersGate, though - http://www.gamersgate.co.uk/DD-TU/tank-universal. You should check it out someday, it is a surprisingly good game, and it is not quite what you would first expect from it.

IAmSinistar: Nice, I'll have to prowl the board then and gather folks' wishlists before I buy.
Beat ya to it ;-p

Well for one at least ;-)

Yah, I edited my post after I realised that. :)

That's good, I buy from GG fairly often when they have games that GOG doesn't. I'll check out their deal on this.

I saw you did, you sneaky biscuit! And it was with Nikopol too, one of the games I already have myself. I quite like the original source material, though I've not played the game yet.

Well done on your pre-emptive gift strike! :D

Aw crap! I was hoping they'd have Syberia 2 (yes, again!) so I can finally give away my Syberia 1 key :(

Quick follow up, the GG version is indeed DRM-free, so hot dang! I loves me some Tron action. Ta!
Nice, finally a Meridian bundle with some DRM-free games in it (I still wonder why they only offer Steam keys for a number of games that have DRM-free versions available). Will probably pick up some of them.
I played Rhiannon years ago; sadly, it's just not all that good. It bears some surface similarities to games like Barrow Hill and The Lost Crown, but is nowhere near as well-executed. Those other games both managed, despite their limitations, to build up a sense of atmosphere and creeping dread; in Rhiannon, I never really felt any sense of menace. I also remember some of Rhiannon's puzzles being fairly annoying.

It's not an awful game, and it gets points for having a puzzle where you need to decode Ogham script (and if you know what Ogham is, then you're definitely in the game's target audience), but if you're expecting another Barrow Hill then you're likely to be disappointed. I would only recommend it to hardcore fans of the "Historical/Mythological British Horror" genre who feel the need to play them all, as there are much better examples of the genre out there.
