Blood of the Werewolf is fun, but very challenging. If you enjoy games like Castlevania (the earlier ones, not the Metroidvania ones), then you'll probably like it.

Hm, I never played any Castlevanias. Does it have a checkpoint system during levels and if so what kind, or does it allow to select or restart levels you've already reached, or does challenging also translate to permadeath and beat in one go?

9:03m is a very short art piece - not really a game per se. Beautiful but very depressing...so if you're into that then it's great but if you're not then well probably not something you'd want.

Checkpoints, and unlike Castlevania, you have unlimited lives (you'll just get a worse score at the end of the level). Also, I think you can start earlier levels without resetting anything, though I've not tried to do that.

The game is better played with a gamepad (the game itself recommends it). You will have to do some fast and accurate jumps in the way while killing monsters at the same time. Although the game starts easy for the first levels, later can be really frustrating in some parts. But the game is not that good, not near "Castlevania" good (although, it reminds me more of an early MegaMan game than a Castlevania, or maybe a mix between the older games of those series). Graphics and animation is below current standards (it looks like a Flash game), the music is annoying (I had to lower the music volume) and after 3 hours of playing it, I didn't want to play it anymore, so I unistalled it... (:P)

If you're curious, for $0,50 is not bad at all. And you can get 4 trading cards that you can sell to recover part of those $0,50 (that's what I did and got $0,58... ^_^)

Yes, and they're saved, so you can continue from those points.

Along the way you have to pick some type of treasures, and some of them are lost forever (you can't go back or get close to them), but the game allow you to start from the beginning of any level if you completed it before.

No, you have unlimited lives to punish yourself all you want... (:P)

Is it fun? Do you think it would benefit from playing with a graphics tablet?

I think creating your character would benefit from a graphics tablet. Sometimes it accepts just about any drawing for the items you have to make.. so I don't know how much it would benefit while playing.

I've only played a few levels, it doesn't seem that good so far, but maybe it gets better.

The devs appeared here (in Ethan topic) and asked why do we, as gamers, think the game wasn't a commercial success. I tried to guess. Now, after playing the game for a while, I know I wanted to add some (hopefully) constructive criticism :)
Comes down to: playing it as safe as possible is not what brings indie devs a fanbase.
