SirPrimalform: Because, as others have already mentioned, the android version being superior and also emulateable on the PC makes the PC version somewhat redundant.
I guess it would be good of Groupees to offer to refund the money to anyone who bought this game and would rather play the emulated Android version. Maybe you could suggest that to them.

Serious or.. ?

Refund 0.75 cents of a $.. ?

Because of a bonus added that is BONUS.. ?

Wanting money back from funds supporting dev's and partly going to charity.. ?

Christ, though i rather read this than being blind with diarrhea. Mandatory low rep that one.

Never played a visual novel. Actually, I am not even sure what they are like (an adventure game that is not very interactive?). Any recommendation from the current bundle?

Well grabbing Yousei is a must given its prequels are already included as bonuses.

(note: OP update with the new bonuses)

Satazius was added as a new bonus and im not surprised, I would have been more surprised if it was a publisher outside of the ones already included in the pack (Money split off in less ways)

I think that any good company should be willing to refund money for people who aren't happy with their purchase. It's unfortunately not a standard with digital purchases, and there are some good reasons behind that, so I'm not saying that Groupees really should do it, just that it would be nice of them. But seriously, are you saying that people aren't entitled to get their money back? What if they didn't select to give to charity, would that make refunding them better in your eyes?

That said, my point is more that IMO few people would prefer to get a refund and play an emulated Android version. If you haven't followed the conversation (and it's obvious you haven't), I don't really understand people feeling cheated over this. Still, I feel they should be entitled to a refund, just like I think they shouldn't feel entitled to a better PC version.

It's more like a story with some interaction, from my limited experience. You get some choices to make which affect the development of the story. Often you just need to make "good" choices to make sure you arrive at a good ending. I haven't played anything from the current bundle except for Cafe 0 which I'm currently playing on Android, and I don't really get it. The Winter Wolves games I played (a little bit of) were more straightforward and I enjoyed them more.

I checked out the bundle a couple days ago, when it was on a 1 game minimum. I added Yousei and was pretty iffy on Cafe O. I noticed the android bonus and checked if there was an easy PC emulator, looked up a review, and then decided if it was close enough to put much effort into, then it was close enough to gamble $0.75 on.
After reading about the developer here, though, I wouldn't begrudge him the fraction of that he will get, even if I don't care it (though it would have been a little annoying to have bought it early and had the android version show up later).

That makes 3 or 4 Groupees build a bundles in a row that I've bought during a one game minimum and ended up getting 2 games.

TBH I'm not sure if an indie visual novel is really a great way to introduce yourself to the genre. I think Ever17 was the first PC visual novel I played and I absolutely loved it.. but most indie VNs are gonna be far less quality than that. There's also 999 (Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors) which is a great introduction as a VN, and its sequel Virtue's Last Reward.. but those are on DS/3DS/Vita.

If you're gonna choose one from this bundle I'd go with Yousei, since you can just emulate the free android bonus of Cafe 0 if you decide to play it.

Try Katawa Shoujo. ;)

Thanks for the answers, guys! It looks like Ever17 is hard to find. If I decide to get this bundle, I'll get Yousei for sure.

Mmm, this could be interesting... or it could be very cheesy. I don't know what to think. :D

Yeah it's been out of print for a while. There is some hope that it might come to Steam though, it got added to the Steam registry a few months ago.

the question isn't to be cheated or not , the question is why offering a superior version for another O/S for free (because you don't need to buy it in the bundle) . Since it's possible to emulate the last one.... it's just a mistake from whomever did it.

if the dev really offered the android version for free for those already bought the unvoiced version, i don't get it , unless he ignores the possibily to emulate the last one (i have some doubts)

One more suggestion for people who never "played" a visual novel - from the creators of Dysfunctional Systems (6th bonus) comes this little game - http://junipersknot.dischan.org/ - it's short (2-3h), but I think it's very good. Not a classical VN (no choices, no multiple endings - kinetic VN), just one nice story to enjoy. ;)

2-3h? more like 20-30min from what I recall. But yes, very good, and is the main reason I'm excited about Dysfunctional Systems since I found it's from the same people.

Groupees is the one that asked for the android version as a bonus.
