triock: A.R.E.S: Extinction Agenda
Woah, this.. might be ok. Mega Man much? It was on sale on xbla over xmas and I completely ignored it. Now I sort of wish I'd looked a bit closer.

Foxhack: Rush Bros. SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS.

Please don't buy that game. I'm going to ask Steam support to remove it from my account, it's that bad.
I hope you got steam cards from the game before you get it removed from your account ;)

It's pretty good. Nothing outstanding, but a solid 1½-2h 2d platformer.

I'm still tempted to do what I usually do when i test games that adapts to your own music: See how they handle an audio-book.
That, and see how they handle the chaos gate soundtrack. Most games seem to fail both tests.

That sounds like a bit of fun. I might just have to see if I have any games that claim they can do that.

Is it even supposed to create levels with your music? Because the built in ones are godawful. I can't imagine it doing a better job using other music.

I did, I used them to trade for other cards. :P

It doesn't create levels with music AFAIK. I think all it does is alter the pacing of the traps/moving objects and stuff. It's stupid because your music doesn't sync with whoever you're playing with in online co-op, which kind of defeats the purpose of a game like this.
People still are buying from Groupees? I'm surprised.

Why? They make some pretty good bundles (i personally think that Groupees is the best bundle site right now along with Humble Bundle). Yeah, i know that their servers got fucked up recently and there are still some files that haven't been uploaded again, but most of the time they provide Steam/Desura keys anyway, so it's not really that much of a big deal.

I certainly wouldn't buy a DRM-free only bundle from them again since their recent incident, but i don't have any issues if they provide keys, which they do most of he time.

Yeah, I probably won't buy any DRM-free games from them anymore, which is why I'm hoping Return to Mysterious Island island comes with a GOG key. Same for Hagemonia, but I won't be buying that tier.

Question is, are they going to be crappy gamersgate or will they be GOG keys?

I kept my own backups, so the server crashes don't affect me at all. I enjoy quite a few of their bundles, so I still buy from them.
No GOG keys.. and the bundle is live.

$1 Buck

Rush Bros (Steam, Windows, Mac)
Starpoint Gemini (Steam, Windows)
Bad Bots (Steam, Windows, Mac)
Return to Mysterious Island (DRM free, Windows)

$4 Buck Tier
Ravensword Shadowlands (Steam, Windows, Mac, Linux)
Storm over the Pacific (Desura, WIndows)
A.R.E.S Extinction Agenda (Steam, Windows)
Haegemonia Gold (DRM free, Windows)

Looks weird Return to Mysterious Island and Haegemonia Gold are both drm free but no Gamersgate or GOGkeys.. Hmmm
Meh. No GOG keys, Steam only for ARES, even Ravensword: Shadowlands only has Steam keys following its DRM-free release in a recent Humble Bundle.

The only thing that looks even remotely interesting for me is Storm over the Pacific, and that's not worth $4 for me alone.

This is a definite pass for me.

Which, given the infamous unreliability of Groupees' servers, is a reason to give it a miss.
