011284mm: These days we all know game prices drop into sales quite quickly, but there has to be at least a few months else it is all a little pointless. Why bother paying full price, even if you love the game.
IAmSinistar: True enow. I try to support game creators and there have been a number of releases I've bought right out of the gate on GOG (Humans Must Answer, InFlux, Papers Please). But I also realise that this is luxury that not all budgets allow, and that many folks will wait for a sale. Most new releases on GOG have stayed at full price for a significant time since debuting, so I think they are "aging" properly and I won't feel cheated if any of the ones I bought go on sale later. Hopefully
Ittle Dew is a deviant case rather than a foretaste of things to come, because I fear if that kind of rapid markdown becomes the norm, it will do a lot of damage to the regular gaming market.
The worst part for GOG if Ittle Dew is DRM free in the Groupee will be what do they do to compensate their customers who bought it full price, like they did with Botanical. There are only so many people left here without a copy of The Witcher, and it leaves GOG out of pocket, not the developers or Groupees.
If it is a Steam only we can all convince ourselves that GOG still holds the DRM free copy, and for now we have to pay a "premium" (who are we really kidding) not to have our games switched off by the likes of developers and Microsoft and their retarded DRM's when they are bored of our enjoyment.
EDIT:: Although I will still say I would like it DRM free, as I will still eventually pick it up here just for all the extras. +1 for GOG there.
EDIT2:: Another horrid thought would be to see it in the Groupee, Indie Royale, HIB weakly and Indie Game Stand together... I do believe that there was a game that was on two or three of these at the same time.
