Also was thinking of the same thing, I'd love the bundle with GOG.com keys there.... Even if they made them available only for $5 tear or something, it would be great.

Come on GOG, you have been amazing all this time, why ruin your kindness towards the community :/ If there really has been a refusal from GOG and not another issue of course.

Not sure if that's wise, as I don't think there are that much customers who care enough for wallpapers, avatars and game art to pay almost thrice as much for the single game on GOG as they would for the bundle. GOG comes out on the short end either way, with their new title being devalued this soon, they could make the best of this awkward situation by at least drawing some more game junkies to their service (like Steam does all the time). Like, people coming for the free indie bundle codes and staying for the great classics that are harder to come by elsewhere.

Maybe GOG should grant indie developers the option to give out GOG keys on condition that they don't sell off their games a few days/weeks/months after release already. Or just demand the latter before signing them anyway? The way it is now, I think GOG will always be at a disadvantage trying to compete on the indie games market. I can't imagine many indies to sell that well here, when they are or have been (1) available DRM-free elsewhere (2) already part of a PWYW bundle (3) sometimes even long before they are released on GOG (e.g. yesterday's release Shadowgrounds Survivor).

I didn't downrep you for that, but I imagine some of it was from folks who took offense at your use of "gay" as an epithet, rather than your opinion in general. You can count me among them.

A shame if true. I can partially understand, since GOG tries to add value beyond the base game by providing extras, so it could be perceived as a "cheapening" of their product to be in the bargain giveaways. But at the same time they may be cutting themselves off from a new customer base who could be brought into the fold from their bundle purchase.

EDIT: Opinion ninja'd by Leroux, who stated it more thoroughly and basically better. :)

It is all down to how the keys are generated. GoG still insist that this is an in-house procedure, and it is therefore very difficult to do so logistically. In this sense, the each key have to be bought from GoG, meaning they get a cut.

It will not be sustainable to have GoG games in bundles over a larger scale until GoG adapts the same procedure as Desura and Steam, i.e. developers can generate keys for their own games. This means that Steam and Desura do not get a cut from games sold outside their own stores.

(Not sure how Origin handles this...)

And for Ring Runner it's even worse than that. On GOG you only get a sample soundtrack with 7 tracks, 6 artworks and wallpapers. With the Groupees bundle you get the full soundtrack (20 tracks) and a Ring Runner novel... and a boatload of other games... for a third of the price... I know who's gone receive my money.

A little odd reasoning given there has been ones in the past (The Zombie bundle had Zafehouse with GOG keys, the topware bundle they had quite a bit back also had GOG keys). Im not sure about the U-turn on this aspect by GOG.
Sorry for this offtopic post but I'm offering 1 of 5 different bundles for BM9, check this out if you're interested. Thanks.

Certainly. I've not had a problem with your posts in general and you've made a lot of useful contributions. I think we all have to be on guard against casual (and often unintentional) bigotry of every stripe, as it is unfortunately ingrained in our biology. We should always strive to be better people, and to help each other do the same.

Hope that didn't sound pompous, I mean it in a "it's something we all contend with inside ourselves" way, myself included.

EDIT: Mistyped "casual" as "causal", which is an entirely different thing.

Balls... Gays... Man, I didn't remember you were such a macho man... :p

Anyway, having balls has nothing to do with it... I am here to talk about bundles, not about stupid and offensive comments (by the way, I didn't downvote your comment, but only because it was already low rated).

We all say stupid things from time to time, it's no big deal...

ED: And by stupid I mean thoughtless. Not trying to be offensive here.

Guys, could you behave yourself in my thread, please? Thank you. :p
Pity Angelica Weaver is a HOG, the plot premise seems wasted when it could have been a proper adventure game.

Selling at a good clip, this one. Seems poised to smoke the bamm bundle without breaking a sweat.

No clue what the second unlock has to do with anything, but hey, free stuff. :)
