jungletoad: There are benefits to mapping yourself. You can mark where locked doors are, and then note when you have unlocked them. Or you can track where you have searched every wall for some stupid hidden switch you are trying to find. Nevertheless, I'm keeping the automaps on.
I think I read somewhere LoG's automap lets you add notes. Which is a feature I don't think I've seen implemented in a terribly convenient manner in any game, but it's usually good enough.
Manual or auto, a real Lizardman wouldn't map, period.

That's right - they'd leave breadcrumbs. And by "breadcrumbs" I really mean "body parts of their vanquished foes".
I'm probably not lizardman enough, but I am minotaur enough to boldly/clumsily stumble into what no man has stumbled into before.

But are you minotaur enough to run a fine china shop?

on second thought, there IS a Steam achievement for completing the game in old-school mode, so maybe i will draw my own map.
How about an in-game ability to smear the walls with the blood/slime of your enemies, so you can mark off areas you've been to before.

Excellent! Is there a Steam achievement for completing the game without Stea...
I suppose I am the only one who thought, gee graph paper is cheap enough that printing it out has to be non cost effective?
