lowyhong: Btw Arthur has told me that the costs of the producing the box at the $100 and $150 tier will be quite high due to a small volume of backers.
I think the boxed copies would have been a lot more popular if they had put a few goodies in the box. From the description the box seems almost empty - game disc, soundtrack disc and a small paper map. Not really worth it in my opinion, especially if you're not in the US.

Standard boxed games are like 80 (average AA/AAA game) - 100 (ie COD, COD oh wait.. COD)here (i remember when CE editions used to be around $100 mark...)
Finally got around to backing the project, pledged $59.

40 hours to go, currently at $421,292.
Hopefully there'll be a huge wave of pledges near the very end that'll push it over $480,000
Ding! $425,000 reached :D

Unlocked:
"Three large, high-level dungeons, each with its own theme and named hero monster. The dungeon entrances will randomly appear in the world."

This is the one I was most excited about... new dungeons! Also upped my pledged for the expansion pack. I really do enjoy Titan quest. I'm playing through now and am excited about Grim's release.

480,000k is the only other tier left I'd like to see personally. But I imagine that might get moved to expansion pack if it isn't reached for the main release ;)
Moved mine from boxed to $58 tier. Box doesnt seem worth it in this instance for me.
Yeah I thought about it for a long while too, and I'm moving to a lower tier. Just haven't decided which one. I can always get the boxed copy later if anyone wants to sell it. I really don't have the money for $100, having just paid for Serpent's Tongue, and I still have to consider that $115 I'm going to pay for Tex Murphy 6 and $200 for Pinkerton Road.

New stretch goals posted - get them to $490,000 for more monster and item types, $500,000 for a new dungeon art set, and $520,000 for a survival mode (!) add-on sometime after release.

Currently at $454,414.

Some really nice stuff, but begs the question shouldn't something like the two-handed weapons or dual pistols be there in the first place?

Woot, 463k and 14 hours left... come on 480! ;)

I'm not in a position to answer accurately, but my guess from the videos he has shown is that he has the game coded to an extremely polished state. What he NEEDS is level designers. With the extra money, he will go back and code in extra things he didn't put in the original game.

I see the extra stuff as highly opinionated things, and I'm guessing he is too. Doesn't bother me one bit if you can't dual wield as long as the game is fun. (and I think it can be without). But now that excess cash is on the way, he can add the nice touches that he couldn't afford before

... maybe ;)

For the two-handed weapons, they want the extra funding in order to pay for the creation of the necessary models, textures, animations, etc.
I don't remember Titan Quest having any two-handed melee weapons (not 100% sure on that, anyone know for sure?), so there'll probably be some programming needed to add the feature to the game engine.

Dual-wielding pistols probably doesn't require any more models, but would require more animations and programming to add dual-wielding ranged weapons to the game engine.
$480,000 achieved! :D

9 and a half hours left to get those last 3 stretch goals.

EDIT: $480,500 achieved, upgraded Crate dev beer unlocked! :P
