+1 for Van Buren

Adding X-com Genesis, a game that was supposed to go back to the origins of the series.

I was definitely looking forward to Warcraft Adventures. Fortunately, much of the story was used in Warcraft 3 (and I also read the books depicting Thrall's life), so at least I got my fix as far as lore goes.

I don't how far along it ever really got, but I remember really wanting the Champions game back in the 80s. It looked like it was going to be the first really good superhero game but fell victim to the "superhero curse" and never became more than vaporware.
Not a whole lot of information about it online, but looked like it could have been great. They even released a video from the early alpha, which can be found [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y30IHLdLvs0]here.
I was sad when Ultima X was canceled.

tomimt: There also was that untitled Indiana Jones action game, which promised more intelligent AI, breakable environments and stuff. I don't kwow if the game would have acually been all that great, but hey, it's Indy. Game footage starts around 1:30

Oh, I remember this. I was so excited for it, and then nothing. However, I thought I read somewhere that this game eventually became the Wii and DS exclusive Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings. If that is true, that stinks, especially since the game is apparently pretty bad.
That looks pretty nice. Good take on Baldur's Gate style.
I'll always be sad that Fallout Tactics 2 was canned. :-(

Novotnus: This one looks like 'Indiana Jones meets Fighting Force' :)
But the last IJ game I enjoyed was Infernal Machine, so I might be biased.
You didn't like Emperor's Tomb?

I think I remember reading that FOT2 was going to have a plot about "nature coming back" or something, as in radiation-mutated plants attacking and foliage taking over. Not sure how I would of felt about that
