Zeewolf: This is not the official English-language release. That's why there's been no PR. Mamba Games, who is the publisher outside of German-speaking countries, will release the game in February.
Apparently the french version will be released in December... oh well too long to wait I will order the German collector edition.

By the way, slightly OT, anybody knows if the German version of "A New beginning", another adventure game I was waiting for from the same editor than G.M., also contains an the english version ?

EDIT: No luck, Amazon refuse to ship the collector edition to my address :-(

Why not download the English version from Gamer Unlimited:

Gunnar: Why not download the English version from Gamer Unlimited:
Because it most probably contains a DRM while the CD version contains only a CD check.
I purchased it from Gamers Unlimited last night. I installed it but it was a bit too late to actually try it. I can say at least as far as installation goes, there is no kind of DRM present, no cd key request or asking to install any form of DRM program. :) I'll report back after I try it this evening if there's any kind of tages request, but a cd key or activation code hasn't been sent to me yet so I don't think there's anything in that regards.

(It's most definitely in English too. When you run the installer oddly enough the default option is in English, with a pulldown menu that can allow you to switch it to German)

Very excited to try it :D

EDIT: There is infact a Tages activation on the GU version. It runs when you first get ready to start the game. They do email you the code, mine just slipped into my junkmail so I didn't know til I looked. :P

It finally got released?!

I thought it was delayed to 2011. Will check it out then.
44 Euros? Do I get a blowjob with that?

Yes, new games should deserve full price (at least for the first half hour of release) but come on, that's even more than Fallout New Vegas!

No blowjob, I'm disappointed too.

-PC regular EUR 35,99
-PC collector's EUR 51,89
-Xbox 360 regular EUR 42,99

Anyway, it's a Germany release only. International is Feb 25, 2011 only, so I hope they get fairer prices by that international date.
Now that the international release is presumably out, does anyone know of a good / reliable DD service that sells Gray Matter? All I found was this, which I've never heard of.

I do not know if they are region restricted or anything but I purchased my second copy of the game from here

http://us-adventureshop.gamesplanet.com/

It is a US site so as I said I am unsure if it will work for you. The site is very reliable though, I have quite a few games from them. Notice the lovely GM background? :D

Great, thank you both; the US one gives me a better price and so far, it doesn't seem to be region locked. Just one more thing: is there any DRM?

Yes, there is a tages activation and an install limit of 5 different machines. I personally don't think it's all that bad since you can always request a new key if you manage to use up all 5 of your machine activations. That's just my personal opinion though. :)

Good, I think I can live with that. Thank you again for the help.

Not a problem. I hope you enjoy the game. The music in it is absolutely lovely (that whole family is talented since the music is done by Jane's husband and the vocal tracks are his band which is fronted by Jane's stepdaughter\Robert's real daughter. I'm thinking of buying their album purely from the two songs in GM since I like them so much). Enough of me rambling though. Enjoy!

Yeah, I still have that track Jane linked to on the development blog some time ago (Safe in Arms); good to know the band's music made it into the game, I really liked it, too. [Incidentally, you may want to check out a band called Monkey Swallows the Universe, in particular their album titled The Bright Carvings; they have a similar sound and are quite amazing. Sadly, they've broken up already.]

And for future reference, the payment went through without a problem, so there is no region lock.
