Navagon: Maybe they forgot to tell him they moved their release date forward?
If that's real...that would be the biggest mistake in history.

This is not the official English-language release. That's why there's been no PR. Mamba Games, who is the publisher outside of German-speaking countries, will release the game in February.

It has been confirmed, however, that the german version has english language bundled on the disc as well.
I'm not disputing that, just trying to offer an explanation for the no-PR-thing.
I was about to die since I've been quite eagerly waiting for this (even though there isn't a US release date yet... :( ). I remember seeing that the UK edition will be released in February, so I assume this is just the German release? If it can be confirmed that this does have the English language version (or even just english subtitles, I can so just deal with subtitles and German dialogue) I would most definitely purchase it. If not, well I'll be waiting til February. :P

Not arguing, just clarifying that it had english language for those interested despite being the German release

I think you can be pretty confident this is a fully functioning english version of the game. Check out this forumthread:

It's damn confusing, though. God knows why Mamba Games have chosen to do this.

This is wonderful news! Thanks very much for confirming that for me. :) BG2 on here and the knowledge that I can go home and purchase Gray Matter all in one day? It's surprising my head hasn't exploded yet. :P

Please just wait a second though. I've just posted a question about this in the Adventure Gamers forum. Maybe you should check out the responses there before you try to purchase it.

dtp released it. They're the German publisher who funded this game. Mamba Games signed a deal with them to bring the game to the English-speaking markets.

This is far from the first time dtp have released games in German-speaking markets long before they've reached the rest of the world. The weird thing is that they included an English-language option this time, which they normally don't do.

I wonder why the English-release was postponed, though. Maybe Mamba Games really wasn't happy with it, and wants further improvements before they release it?
I need to buy this.
Wait, it's out?!

It's a bad sign when even those of us that were actively interested in the game and following its development are not even aware it was released. The reviews sound fairly positive. I hope it can survive the fact that there was no fanfare about its release.

bazilisek: Bloody hell, it's released? I've got the development blog in my RSS reader! Did they forget to update that?

It's a brand new adventure game by Jane Jensen. If this isn't something I'd like to support with my money, I don't know what is.
agree.
I need to buy it, I love every Jane Jensen's game! Now I know what I'll gift myself for my bday :)
God damn, I didn't know it had already been released. Will definitely check it out, I love the Gabriel Knight games.

Some say dtp might be concerned about imports of the (probably lower priced) UK version that would undermine their pricing.
