I have recently got three new games, all of them made with Unreal Development Kit. All of them do also have graphical problems, the games and symptoms are:

Recruits - the game is completely black, nothing is rendered at all. I can see the text on the menu, but that's all.

Paranormal - First play, all polygons where shown in wireframe only, not a single texture (must say, it was a weird experience if someone wants an idea for a new experimental game...). Played around with the settings a bit, with the result that everything turned completely black. I am now unable to get it to even show wireframes. I can move around - I can hear footsteps and when I collide with something.

SOL: Exodus - the game freezes after about 20 seconds.

My specs:
Dell XPS L702x
Intel Core i7-2670QM
Ram: 6 GB
Windows 7 64 bit
Nvidea Optimus: GeForce GT 555M 3MB / Intel HD Graphics 3000

Drivers are updated, and as far as I know I am forcing the games to run on the GeForce GPU.

Anyone had similar problems and/or know anything I can try to do to fix this?

Edit - is there any other games made with the same UDK build? I might want to try some others just to test if it is game specific or something with the engine itself.

It seems it's known issue for older GFX that's solved only for Intel HD:

Oh, also try running it in DX 9 mode, if you aren't already.

Cheers - thanks for that thread. Paranormal and Recruits are working now. Seems to be a bug with UDK? anyway, for some reason is is running on the Nvidea GPU (I think) but thinks it is running on the integrated graphics. But as long as it works, then I am happy. Will see if I can get SOL: Exodus to run tomorrow.

Glad I could help. It seems it is, introduced in May release.
BTW don't expect too much from SOL: Exodus. I've written about it here.
