Sabin_Stargem: You might be interested in Pier Solar, a JRPG which should be released sometime around December. The developers already released an older version of it on the Genesis, so it should be authentic. They used a kickstarter to fund the HD version
Pier Solar HD It really looks pretty cool.
Having said that, I would love to see a more modern looking game from the genre.
I think that a huge role of JRPG appeal is the combat system. Developers of those games just seem to be way more creative then western game makers. I would love for Bioware or Obsidian to experiment more with turn combat, action time battle systems or whatnot.
Somebody mentioned the Last Remnant. The graphics of the game look great but isn't it a pretty "meh" titile? I might want to hunt it down on steam, but I need a second opinion, help me out here. :)
And as far as Dreamcast games are concerned, there is some hope, as SEGA has released several dreamcast titles on Steam (I own the Steam version of Jet Set Radio, which is simply awesome)
Oh, and I did vote for Grandia II here on GOG, maybe some day...
