Tag Team Game Rumble!

You could hear the sound of crowds going wild! You could hear hear the epic guitar riffs going off! You could hear the sound of muscular bodies slamming against the arena floor! No, this wasn't the echoes of Wrestlemania XXX. It was our very own special [url=http://www.gog.com/gamerumble]Battle of the Games 2014 promo, with stables of amazing games facing off each other three by three in explosive combat. You, dear GOGgers, were the referees. Now, the time has come for the grand finale! We know who won, and who did not. All of the participating games are now simultaneously on sale for the next 48 hours!
LOL, another interesting promo. Nice one GOG. :-)
Love the creative sales...and glad I don't need to check back every 10 mins (ok I loved the insomnia sale but my work did not....). Glad to have most of these today and tomorrow so I can "save up"....

GabiMoro: Heroes 2 is a must have and so is Heroes 3. I don't really recommend the campaigns but the single scenarios.
avatar
Ghorpm: May I ask you why do you think so? Don't get me wrong I also think that single scenarios are absolutely awesome, I spent countless hours with HoMM 3, playing single and random maps but I still prefer the campaigns. A lot of scripted events, transferable heroes, unique objectives and a nice plot line make it a great experience. That's why I absolutely love Heroes Chronicles collection - there are just campaigns there after all.

On a side note - I think it's a good time to get digital backups of HoMM 1 & 2 :)
I didn't mean the campaigns are bad, but they are rather "meh". Some of them are better, some are weak. As far as I remember the story was just ok. I found the strong point of Heroes 3 to be in the scenarios. There are a lot of scenarios (like those maps made by Corribus - Timothy Duncan) which are much better.

I intend to replay all the Campaigns, including the Chronicles, perhaps I remember wrong :).
Glad to see a "Battle of the Games"-type promo return!

Leroux: Is the voting account-based or IP-based? If it's the latter, and it seems to me that way, it could easily be rigged. I already voted earlier today and on logging in another time now (presumably with a new IP) I get the option to vote again ...
avatar
Telika: IP based. I'm on a different computer now, went to check the current results, and have the option to vote again instead.
Eh, if folks want to bother that badly with gaming the results, oh well. At least EVERY title this time around will be available and sale priced. So the most that vote riggers can do is bias it towards one set over the other. We all still win in the end.
Aha, I've just been waiting for a sale on HoMM2. Instabuy as soon as I saw this promo! I've been playing 3 and 5 recently, and I like what they did with it, but I do miss the days before all the angels and demons and battle between good and evil. In HoMM2 I can confidently say I enjoy all the factions equally from an aesthetic standpoint. I was never afraid of the random button, hehe.

None of the games for tomorrow interest me, but I'm looking forward to the rest of the promo!

grimgroove: This is a wallet disaster in the making.
If it is not a wallet disaster, it is not a GOG great offer! ;)

Good luck everyone to get yours worth-cheap-great-games !
Ah, the Battle of the Games is back I see. Admittedly, one of GOG's best promo ideas as both sides get a deal.

Looking at tomorrow's offerings though, the battle seems quite one-sided - a set of shooters pitted against another set of shooters, so yeah! for shooter lovers but nth for folks that don't fancy/ play this specific genre :(

Assuming the Battle of the Games will cover the week leading to Easter, I hope that over the next days we'll see more variety in the daily sets pitted against each other.

P.S. And does the inclusion of the year imply that we won't see this type of promo within 2014 again?
This may be innappropriate but I just RE-Bought the witcher 2 Normal edition can you guys remove the AU edition as it looks unsightly I'm not looking for any in store credit or anything but yeah could you guys please remove it it's the one in the pic!

Great promo!
I really want to buy Blackguards. It's my #1 wishlist on GOG at the moment. But not at this price. I'll wait for the 80% promo on that (prerhaps by Christmas).
Might buy the red factions tomorrow (at 60%, so it seems).

W&G - nicely done! :)
Just noticed that Red Faction features a "location-based damage system".
That sounds like a good euphemism for regional pricing.
Guess I'll just vote for what I think would be the better deal since I own all those shooters with exception of Chaser, in which I have absolutely no interest. As much as I love RF1 (multi is still awesome) and enjoyed RF2, the Unreals are without a doubt the better offer, although I wasn't too keen on Unreal 2.

Well, at least they're not taking the place of an actual summer sale this time around, so that's good. It's also good that it's 3 vs 3 instead of the 1 vs 1 that was going on last time.

Did you change your location or IP address to get the Normal edition like that? A year or so I ended up opening another account, with a European IP address to get a "normal" copy. It would be nice to just have the normal edition in my list here. I wouldn't care if the censored aus version is still sitting there.
