I got a "where is the guru?" error. Something about a memory access violation.

What? I paid for this and the game installed fine but won't run.

Caused an "Exception_Access_Violation."

I downloaded all three files. the two .BIN files and the .exe. The File Integrity checker didn't find any issues.

I would really like to play this game. The error file mentions something about a cursor.

How much ram and vram do you have? It's an out of memory error. If you haven't already done so, install the community patch, I think that helps some, but this game has very high system requirements due to not being optimized very well.

I installed 1.74 and it did not help at all.

I feel robbed. I will have a hard time trusting GOG from now on. How many other games will I pay for but be unable to play, I wonder?
The most important thing: What's your full PC specifications? As previous poster mentioned it's an out of memory error, so it could related with your hardware.

how do you mean you feel robbed? the specs are specified, does your computer even have the minimum specs and ram? if not then its your own fault.

I have everything. I guess the game is still not compatible with this computer.

One more chance...and if there's another failure im not wasting any more money on this site.

The solution everyone mentioned was to do patch 1.74 and it didn't work.

I uninstalled it. Gothic 3 was a waste of time, money, and space. i have serious doubts about GOG as a service now.

What's your PC specs?
Sorry to hear about your problems. I bought Gothic 3 a couple days ago and fired it up for the first time yesterday. It worked fine before the community patch, but I still patched it anyway and I'm loving it. Very different feel from Oblivion, which I like as well, in a different way.

My system's only a C2D E4500 w/ 2gigs RAM and overclocked 8600gt, running WinXP. Works great with lowered shaders.

who is everyone? only 1 or 2 people might have suggested that patch. besides if you buy something in a store you ask the store owner for support not some customer.
Mobile Intel Express Chipset family. I think my graphics card is what did it.
I want to give GOG another chance. to test this site out I will buy, download, and attempt to run Arcanum. If that fails, well...
