Man, at least 10% of all my collected games are still in shrink wrap. To be honest, I tend to download a game first, try it, and then buy it but keep playing the downloaded version (I don't like having to keep DVDs in my drive) but still - MINT conditon! Never because I'm afraid to get addicted though. Although I play lots of games, I've never gotten addicted. Except maybe to Counter Strike because of the community.

Yeah the counterstrike community is full of mature sophisticated adults who are not elitist in any way and like to help any and all newcomers.

We're talking about the year 2000 though, before CS went retail and got ruined by spoiled 14 year old brats. Back then, the average age was around 18 or even more and nearly every server was filled with friendly people and silly banter. No mics and voices to hear people shout "faggot!" with a squeaky voice. I cursed the day CS went retail. It goes to show that "the masses" can ruin any good online game.
I played it before retail but i was a kid at the time so i don't remember much. I tried to get my friends into css (they wouldn't touch 1.6 because the graphics weren't pretty enough) and they quit after a week of getting one shotted a few seconds after spawning, getting K/D ratios of 1-5 and being abused by people only just out of grade school

1.6 is pretty late in CS's history. I played way back when it was still beta 6.0 and it was really very different. It had different maps (many were later dropped including Vegas and Estate, two of my favorites) and different guns (they renamed them later and changed how they handled).
I counted, and found I had 32 purchased games on GoG alone that I've never actually played.
Is this a new progression similar to when you visit someone's home, and they have a book case full of books that have never been read but are simply for display? :)
"Ah, I see you have The Lord of The Rings collection. Have you read it all?"
"Um, yes. Though I didn't like all the extra bits they added that weren't in the movies."
As for unopened games, I think the only such item I have is one called Armed & Dangerous. Came free with another game as far as I can remember.
Also, I wonder what sort of games Patrick Stewart would be in to? Twitchy FPS player?
ive got Baldurs Gate but ive never played it. I tried number two but i had alot of problems getting it to work and i didnt like the interface/game-play. I guess planescape spoiled me.
Patrick Stewart! Loves email, does not like talking on the phone. I like him even more now.

47 Games on GOG I've not finished (More if you count those in the packs).
Of those, only two I'm in the middle of playing, the others, I've just checked that they load.
I've got a few, but it's mainly lack of time I've not installed them. :(
I started using Backloggery, and noticed that I have over 200 unfinished PC games.
Damn, that's a heap.
I finish almost all my games because until GOG, I only got MAYBE 1 game a month so had nothing else to do. With GOG and sometims steam sales, I tend to impulse buy a bit more and so haven't finished a lot of them. There's 7 GOGs I've not played, 1 of those is brand new though, I've not even installed it and most of the others were bought when my PC was dead and the games were on sale so I thought 'sod it, I'll play em one day'
I'll bet patrick stewart has all the star trek games he's voiced
I reckon at least half of the games I've barely played are GOGs. Thanks in no small part to the sale. :D

If he played STO, I bet he gets a unique face palm emote.
